On the issue of the refugees from Venezuela, we can teach them how to help each other and how to help other immigrants while they are at it. They can work together to create jobs, and to build housing, and to help the new people as they arrive, etc.
I met a cool guy here in Anaheim who is a social worker who came here from Venezuela, he came to Anaheim and now he works as a social worker helping other people.
And I had friends from the Philippines who were helping the homeless people, as they also helped refugees and immigrants.
We need to make sure that the people who want to help other people are able to do so, they need to have the opportunities and resources.
My friend from the Philippines was wealthy from the Banana Industry, and she came to America and opened a night club in Los Angeles, "Manila Gardens" was the name of her night club. And then she spent her whole life helping the homeless people and the refugees and the immigrants.
Instead of people feeling poor and powerless to help other people, we need to make it possible for those who want to help other people to do so.
Another group which helps people is Kiwanis International, which is world-wide.
If people want to build housing, and if they want to grow food, and if they want to help other people, then they need to have the opportunities and the resources.
We also have the United Farm Workers, and we have other unions, the unions can tell the desperate refugees where the jobs are, and then the refugees can ride a nice safe new Greyhound Bus to where the jobs are.
Salute,
