In bambuworld:
"Climate cult silent on energy crisis".
LOL
Of course.

It's hard to hear them with your fingers so tightly plugged in your ears, Bambu.

The so-called energy crisis is thoroughly manufactured by the oil-producing companies.

To be fair, there are issues with the supply chain, personnel and equipment, and a war in addition to the oil companies maximizing profits.  But a wiser long term green solution, had it begun years ago, would have helped make us less vulnerable to this kind of issue.

George Washington University is dropping its Colonials moniker because quote: it can no longer serve its purpose as a name that unifies end quote.

I suggest they change it to "Idiots".

You know the term Colonizer is not complimentary?

You know that American form of government only came about by those Colonials.  Not sure why you'd like to deny their accomplishments and only dwell on their sins.

That's like saying MLK, JR deserves no respect because while he did great things, he was also a serial womanizer and a plagiarist.

Maybe get more upset about something meaningful.

It is not about me or my desires because truly I really could not give a fuck. Hell, I grew up a Redmen fan, now St Johns has a different nickname and I did not care then.

I am not the target recruiting demographic they are trying to reach.

Kids coming of  college age do not see the term Colonials in the same light.

Think Marvel Universe and the term Colonizer

We need for the young people to be service minded when they graduate from college, we have a lot of people right now who need help, our world is in rough shape.

And we have some good groups such as Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF, Kiwanis, the Peace Corps, and the World Bank, which the young people can join to do service.

We need for the young people to care about other people and to be altruistic.

As the young people travel around the country and see the state of affairs, then they need to care and they need to want to make it better. As they see the homeless people on the streets, and the empty factories, etc, then they need to care and they need to want to help the people. And they can travel around the world and they can see how different places deal with the issues of homelessness, etc, and they can see the hostels in Rome for $15 per night for a nice hot shower and a nice comfortable bed.

We need for people to be community minded.

Instead of looking inward and being depressed, then people instead need look outward at how they can help the world, and they need to find joy in helping others. And we need to shine a light on the good people who do good things, and we need to make sure that the good groups are well funded and that good people are able to help others if they want to, there needs to be good groups which are taking solid action that people can join, such as Kiwanis, the Peace Corps, UNICEF,  and the World Bank and other groups.

And we need for our Government to be on our team, as we work to help the people. We can also do civil engineering projects that we need to do for water issues, etc, and we need to build high speed trains with Amtrak. And we need fair trade, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

When you graduate 5th grade, get back to us, irrelevant one.

Take a moment today and praise the memory of Frank Wills, an American hero who never got his dues.

Yes.  Good job, Wills.  His later cycles of brief employment and poverty were a sad outcome for someone who played such a key part in protecting our democracy.  Cool that he played himself in the 1976 film.

Meanwhile, this is weird...

His cover of Clapton's I Shot the Sheriff, with new lyrics (I shot the POTUS...) is not to be missed.

As we work through this crisis...

Some interesting things are happening, people are switching to electric cars, and people are putting solar panels on their roof-tops, and some people are saving a lot of money, so while some items may be more expensive then it is also true that some things are cheaper if you made wise investments in green energy items.

We can also invest in the ports in Mexico, and we can hire Mexican truck drivers to bring goods into the USA, etc. And Mexican truck drivers can join the Teamsters Union, etc, so they will be paid fair and they will be treated well.

We can also employ people to make food items such as canned soup and frozen foods, etc, to lower food costs. And people can plant orange trees, and strawberries, etc.

We will survive this crisis, and people will switch to green energy.

My Father died when I was 9 years old, so Father's Day has always been hard. When I was a kid in school and we would make crafts for our fathers on Father's Day then I used to just make crafts for my Mother. My Mother had a hard life, and she went through a lot, may God bless my Mother.

I wish a happy Father's Day to my Mother who had to be both Mom and Dad after my Father died.

And I wish my Father a happy Father's day in Heaven.

Maybe I can help the youth who do not have fathers, and the Foster Youth, as an advocate for them, and I can relate because I know what it is like to grow up without a father.

Some programs that we need to have is for one we need to send the Foster Youth and the children without fathers to college for free, and we also need to have intern jobs at the movie studios for the Foster Youth and for the children without fathers.

Mexico is building new electric trains for the tourists that run through the jungle. Many people are concerned because the trains are running through some very precious jungle, it is important like the Amazon jungle to the south. But, the electric trains will be better for the environment than highways. Running electric trains through the jungle is the best way to do it, and Mexico can make money from the tourism.

I support electric trains.
