OTOH, if the resigning police had a grievance, I would have expected it to have already been filed.

You don't work in a small town government, I take it.

I've watched how numerous towns respond to such things, from the government to the papers to the social media. These folks have not been grousing either in public or to their friends about it. It is very curious.

So... once again, the right wing is being used by foreign powers to destabilize America, while claiming to be patriots.

Why is this unsurprising?

Most of the western world has a large segment of far right ideologues who use Brevik’s manifesto as a game plan.

They made a move here in DC to decapitate the US government and if not for that segment of the Capitol Police who literally fought for their lives (as well as the lives of the members) those motherfuckers could have succeeded.

These motherfuckers want Racial Holy War.

Achtung, bitches.

Police the police

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2aNtxvoBXR4

Dark Reaper in the comments:

"No one has the right to put their hands on a woman for any reason".

WRONG!!!

What if she's throwing plates, lamps, vases at you and is blocking your exit from the room?
What if she's punched you in the head 50 times and has dragged you to the floor by the genitals 5 times? All detailed in Current Affairs program "When wives attack" on my tv.
The man finally hit her back, he was arrested.
What is she's inya face wielding a knife? [one of my very famous footballers, who happens to be Indigenous, was arrested for 'hitting a woman'...front page photo of him, the headline reading "the lowest blow". Oh the shame, the ridicule, the hate horrendous.]
Then the trial. he facing prison time.
The trial went along, he admitted to causing the marks on his partner's face...people were shocked, he a role model in the community for Indigenous youth etc. He still is, a good guy.
Then the defence lawyers had their turn.
All of a sudden the trial was halted, the victim had made a new statement to the police...saying that her partner hadn't hit her but had pushed her back because she'd had a knife in her hand and was very close to him...that she had then struck her face/head on a bed or cabinet or something.
Something about self harm and he trying to stop her or something.
He was still convicted of domestic violence or something but was only sent to do a self help program or something.

The bad people are "armed and dangerous" ......the camp ground killer was, cops said when looking for him and his girlfriend.
Notice how the bad men always have a girlfriend but the good men don't.
*
If the good people are not armed and very cautious, very security-aware, and very stranger-danger aware they have no hope.
. Never open the door.
. Never go outside.
. Never get out of the car.
. Never get involved.
...are good rules to live by.

"Who Can It Be Now? indeed.
Could be a serial killer knocking on your door...looking to trick you into opening your door so he can torture you to death.
Could be a scammer of many different varieties.
If you haven't invited someone to knock on your door, anyone knocking on your door is trouble of some kind.
Ignore them and eventually they go away, or try to break in...in that case you can just shoot them or scare them off.

Not always.
Only 4% of women find the men on Tinder acceptable, but 70% of men find the women on Tinder
acceptable.....
survey says.

That's not a life. That's a cowardly and fearful
 existence.

Might as well save yourself from the extremely low chance of being killed by a serial killer and just take yourself out, if you call that "good rules to live by".

California's Newsom not a total zero

https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/22/politics/california-newsom-gun-bill-texas-abortion-law/index.html

Posting cluelessly at AM or PM.  Sad.  This would set up a terrible model for jurisprudence and Newsom knows it.  It's a bad idea in Texas, turning anyone into a moral vigilante.  Applying it to some other issue, no matter how positive it might seem, is a bad idea.
