Homelessness is the number one issue right now in Los Angeles, and for the people who choose to help the homeless then many are going to spend their whole lives helping the homeless. A life-time goes by fast, before they know it 30 years will be gone, but helping the homeless is a good way to spend those 30 years, and you will store up treasure in Heaven. I watched some good Christian friends help the homeless right up until they died. To the people who they helped they were heroes, and God sends us to help each other.

As we address the issue of Homelessness, then the Christians are natural at helping the homeless and the Bible tells us in Matthew 25; 31-46 to help the homeless, and all through the Bible we are told to love our neighbors and to help the homeless.

The classes that the future homeless helpers will want to study are Sociology, Psychology, and Human Communication, the helpers need to learn healthy conflict resolution, and effective communication, and they need to learn how to deal with Mentally Ill people, etc. Some people need to keep going to school to become Psychiatrists, and for them there is San Diego State University.

And Veterans are great at helping the Homeless people. Combat Medics are great at managing homeless shelters, etc.

People also need to be able to cook for the homeless people, etc, so people need to train to learn how to cook for large groups of people.

And there is the physical building of housing and there is Habitat for Humanity, etc. And people need to manage and run the physical housing, etc.

As we address the issue of helping the homeless, then a lot of new jobs will be created for Social Workers, and for Crisis Intervention Specialists, and for Psychiatrists, etc, etc, etc. Our schools need to have programs to teach our people what they need to know to effectively have a fulfilling career helping the homeless.

Ashleigh Aitken

No Orange County city does more to address homelessness than Anaheim with shelter, daily outreach, services and a path to permanent housing.

But, for all we do, we continue to seek out new and inventive ways to get people housed and off our streets - my top priority as mayor.

This week, I visited two tiny home villages in Montebello and Baldwin Park made up of small, portable shelter buildings with cooling, heating, light and electricity.

The communities address a portion of the unhoused who would rather stay on the streets than go into group shelters.

The visits were part of my ongoing work to explore advanced solutions for Anaheim, where we have reduced homelessness by 30 percent since 2019 and are embarking on the next phase of addressing homelessness by tackling mental health, substance abuse and immediate and long-term housing.

I reminded her that a huge percentage of our homeless people are Foster Youth who aged out of the system and ended up homeless, and I suggested that we give the Foster Youth a free ride through college. I also reminded her that we have homeless people who are Abused Women and I told her that we need safe houses for the abused women and their children. And I finished off by reminding her that we have Fullerton Community College where we can train people to work jobs to help our homeless people. And I told her that we need Hostels where normal people who are poor can take a nice hot shower and where they can sleep in a nice comfortable bed for $15 per night.

Italian Sons and Daughters of America

40% of Italian resistance members were women (105,000 out of 250,000) in WWII. 4,600 of these heroines were arrested, 2,750 were deported to German concentration camps, and 623 were killed by fascists or Nazis.

-----------

There is a great movie with Gregory Peck named "The Scarlet and the Black" about the Italian resistance during World War II.

And the Italians killed Mussolini themselves, Italy should have never been allied with Hitler and Japan.

Rep. Lou Correa
1 hour

Today, my colleagues and I introduced a one-page long bill to provide a pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrants that call America home - just by changing the registry date.

It is the Renewing Immigration Provisions of the Immigration Act of 1929. And we need to pass it.

-------------

We need to make our immigrants legal so that they can call the police in the case of an emergency, and so that they can join labor unions, and we need to bring our people out of the shadows.

The decision, which referenced Catholic catechisms and fourth century religious text, stunned legal experts

This is a regressive move towards theocracy.  When this kind of access to contraception is blocked, teen pregnancy rates soar, those girls are far less likely to finish high school,  and poverty and social outcomes are worse for them and their children.

Feeding the stratification in social hierarchy at the heart of what every conservative believes in and hopes for. Their lives are based on the principle that they eat infinite shit and fuck themselves for the right to kick down, a right nowhere in the constitution but one that lingers in the conservative mindset like the worst kind of venereal disease.

Yep.  Nothing wrong with elite, in the traditional definition of the word.  Some people have expertise and professional skill that makes them better at certain things.  But this new form - snide, lying, patronizing - delivered by Fox infotainers and their ilk - is from those who are worse at being human beings.

Leeds said she ran into Trump at some point afterwards in New York, and he told her, I remember you. Youre the cunt from the airplane.

Classy guy.

All these various litigations need to do, AFAIC, is penetrate a sufficient number of voter minds and impress upon said minds the essential unfitness of TFG to hold office.
