If this apartment complex was owned by a Christian then 10% would go back into the community as the Christian works to obey Matthew 25; 31-46 and as the Christian does charity work. Christians live a purpose driven life that is about much more than just making money, and money is just a tool that can be used to help the poor, etc.
But, when the apartment complex is owned by a giant foreign corporation then all that they care about is money, they charge as much as they can get and they give back as little in return as they can, it is just about money. The world becomes a sad place when everyone just starts only caring about money and when no one gives back to their community. People become very lonely, people even become so depressed that they commit suicide. They forget all about the love of Christ, and the communities lose their love.
What makes Rome so beautiful is more than the statues and fountains, it is the Christian love of the people in Rome, and they all nurture their communities.
California is having problems in San Francisco, and in Los Angeles, and in San Bernardino, and they need to turn to Christ to save their cities. And they can give tax breaks to people who do charity work. They can also have hostels like in Rome where people can shower and sleep in a bed for $15 per night. We need to have a Jesus Revolution, and we need for local companies to own the businesses and to own the apartment complexes, etc, in Anaheim we even own our own electric company and we own Angel Stadium, and good guys like Gene Autry nurtured Anaheim. The cities need for people to give back to their communities and to nurture their communities instead of just being greedy and sending the money to some giant foreign corporation.
And we need for Americans to advance on Maslow's hierarchy of human needs, we need to get beyond simply providing food and shelter to reach a point where we are training doctors, and scientists, and psychiatrists, etc, our people need to learn how to solve problems and our people need to find a sense of purpose in nurturing our cities. And like with Cheech donating the new museum in Riverside for Chicano Art, Cheech is a good American, and he is setting a good example. That is what the cities need, they need good guys like Cheech to open new museums, etc, and they need for people to nurture the cities.
