Her video has been very enlightening for Black people who were living in the dark of the lies they'd been fed.

Owens does not make videos to enlighten African Americans. She makes videos for white people who want to feel better about themselves. Whatever the broad history of slavery in the world, in this country slavery was almost entirely by white people. And it was entirely race based chattel slavery. White people enslaving blacks.

And nothing she says would surprise or enlighten much of anyone. Lasting effects, that persist to present generation, seems key here.  Some of my ancestors were Ukraine peasants abducted to Sweden and made agricultural slaves.  But that was long ago, they blended into the general population, and reparations would be pointless.  My grandpa was poor when he took a boat to America, but that was due to being an orphan.  He left, age sixteen, mainly to get away from the nagging and ill-tempered aunts who were raising him.

All that is remainian of the Ukrainian in my generation is our mouths water when we hear "borscht" and we still don't see value of definite articles.

It looks like Harvard and other institutions will be ordered soon to stop donor and legacy preferences in admissions.

Recent studies have shown that those applicants are deeply retarded compared to the rest of the applicant pool. Therefore it is discriminatory to show them any preference.

This is a class conscious decision that may go a long way to address some of the ills that have been allowed to fester for as long as racists have been opposing affirmative action due to nepo being a predominantly white problem at least so far in the history of the United States.
