Mahlagha Jaberi is in Washington DC this weekend with Farah Pahlavi and others as they work for improved human rights for the women of Iran.

Lots of people from California are retiring to Arizona, and Lisa Brando lives in Arizona, and it is a great state for solar power. We just need to solve the water issues. We can put people to work building more dams and aqueducts, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.
What the Hell are they going to dam?

Shouldn't be very long before Texas and California leave the Union, annex Arizona and New Mexico and form a new country, the Sunbelt Republic or other possible names.
All detailed on Youtube.

Access to deep sea water at both ends, great GDP, incomes $70,000pa for all, 300,000 troops, official languages English and Spanish...or Spanish, with English running a long second.

Well, Americans were warned what would happen if massive immigration both legal and illegal was allowed to happen, and Cinco de Mayo allowed to grow from a trickle to a flood...with American flag shirts on students banned.
If you are incapable of watching without filtering out the obvious bull shit, just stop watching YouTube.

The people planning it are serious, obviously.
Gotta take notice of serious people planning mutiny, especially in the US where every state is basically an individual country.
They may be serious but they are not serious people. There are maybe 8 things in that concept that the chances of happening are absolutely zero. Starting with Texas and California acting together. And the US letting the California economy go.
Quote

If California and Texas decided to do it, including annexing Arizona and New Mexico, who would be stopping them?
Every single sane person in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Jesus, you know literally nothing about the US.

On the issue of finding allies in Russia...

We had friends in the Moscow Theatre, there was Stanislavski, and there was Anton Chekhov, and there was Michael Chekhov, we had lots of friends in the Russian Theatre.

Plus we have friends in the Russian Space Program, etc.

We need to find out who our allies are in Russia, I am sure we have lots of good allies in Russia who despise Putin as much as the international community does.

We can set a Junta in motion with our allies. We can do a lot with unlimited funds, if we knew who our allies are. I am certain that we have some good solid allies in Russia who we could support to over-throw Putin and to send Putin to Guantanamo Bay.

So today on Sunday I want to think of Jesus as the Prince of Peace, and blessed are the peacemakers. Jesus is all about love. And healthy civilization have proven that if the people come together with love as a community then people could collectively prosper. That is what America is all about. Ultimately we are the United States of America, and we will not have another civil war if we come together under the principals of peace, the Governors of California and Florida may seem far apart, but they are still united as Americans.

And in Russia, I am sure that we have good allies in Russia who we could support for peace, and Putin can go to Guantanamo Bay. What if instead of giving money to war, if we invested in peace, what if we supported peace in Russia with cash to support our friends and allies in Russia for peace, and Putin can go live in Cuba. We have friends in the Space Program in Russia, and in the Arts, we need to find allies who we can support in Russia who will lead Russia on a path to peace and prosperity. Napoleon went to Elba, and so too can Putin go live in Guantanamo Bay.

We have the United Nations, we have the World Bank, and we have Russian allies, we just need to give more support to our allies, and we need to support peace with money. Good new peaceful leaders in Russia could be very wealthy and they can live lives of luxury with all of the best that the world has to offer. And those who support peace as Jesus did will also reap their reward in Heaven.

Salute,

Tony V.

Police have charged 19 people who gathered at an unauthorised pro-Palestine rally at Port Botany to protest against the unloading of an Israeli-owned shipping company vessel.

Governor Beshear has no higher priority than fighting for our students, educators and public schools. From the day he was elected, Gov. Beshear has put education first.

------------

Biden and Harris need to support Education in Kentucky, as well as for all Americans.

And good Republicans such as Arnold also support Education, and After School Programs for the youth. ( We can teach the youth in High School how to install sound systems in automobiles, etc. We need to teach skills to the youth so that they can earn honest money. We can also teach the youth how to Weld, and how to do Electrical Work, and other skills. The youth can also learn how to be auto mechanics and they can learn how to rebuild carburetors, etc. The youth in Hollywood can have programs pertaining to the Entertainment Industry. Any tools that we can give to the youth to help them to succeed in life are good skills which we should seek to provide for our youth. )

I also support Biden and Harris on providing a free education for all Americans, and a free Associate in Arts degree is a great start. And as the immigrants come to America and work the essential labor jobs, then meanwhile we can be sending the local Americans to school to prepare for the jobs of the 21st Century, and we need to train Teachers, and Doctors, and Psychiatrists, etc, along with training Scientists to search for a cure for Cancer, etc. ( When I was a Limousine Driver in Malibu, then we had AMGEN in the area, and I used to drive the scientists from AMGEN in the Limo, I took them to the airport and picked them up from the airport and brought them back to Malibu. Lots of scientists from AMGEN live in Malibu. AMGEN can build a laboratory in the poorest part of Kentucky and can hire local scientists from Kentucky to work for AMGEN. AMGEN is creating the good jobs of the future. AMGEN can help to teach the schools in Kentucky what they need for the students to study in school to prepare them for jobs working as a scientist for AMGEN. )

We also need lots of libraries, etc. Abraham Lincoln educated himself from studying books. Well stocked libraries are needed in our poor areas.

Also, for the Veterans, the movie stars and other wealthy people need private Body Guards, they like to hire trained military guys as Body Guards. A Body Guard can earn $100,000 per year. Right now with the rise in crime then all of the stars are hiring security guards.

Governor Beshear and Biden both support Education, so Biden and Kentucky need to work together to educate the people of Kentucky, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

Now look what's happened...
...reporter for the Wall Street Journal, Evan Gershkovich has had his detention on espionage charges upheld by a Russian court.
"Bogus charges by a paranoid regime" states my DTele today.

Sad.
He looks very lonely.
Has been detained for 12 months.

It's Russia, he's American, there's a war going on...what was he ( and his employer) thinking setting foot in the place?

You *can't* do that today without a very high possibility of it ending badly.
He'd have been better off refusing the assignment (or not volunteering), being unemployed and sitting on a blanket in Central Park watching the ducks on a pond, with just enough money from his savings for food...his home a van.

Thank God we have journalists with more courage and dedication than some Aussie who wets the bed with fear at every turn.

Courage and dedication can be overrated.
There was absolutely no need for him to be in Russia at all.
The latest photos of a bomb blast in Moscow?
Not worth a journalist's life.

It's torrential rain, high wind, and reporters are standing out in it getting *drowned*.

Time to re-think journalism.

Spoken by an American man allowed to carry big and small guns.
The only weapons I'm allowed are running away, or cowering in the corner begging for my life when the bad people (armed with machetes, knives, and tyre levers) are smashing their way in.
Law enforcement in my world today is "leave your car keys on the kitchen bench so the home invaders can easily take your car"....(do burnouts in it, then smash it into something because they're under age and don't have licences).

A coward, unable to understand courage, pivots artlessly to a rhapsody on weapons that terrorize, excite and upset him. Fully armed he would be the exact type of timid twitchy lunatic likely to cause the most harm.

Time to re-think journalism.
You are right, of course, but for different reasons.
Print journalism is dying in the digital atmosphere.
Hard to sell subscriptions to the Daily Bugle when free news is available 24/7 on the internet.
And that news is not very well produced.
AI algorthyms make awful reading styles( think of your high school paper)
And Editors are a rarity.
The plethora of podcasts, digital news networks, and biased news sites has led to a loss of confidence by the viewers and revenue by would be sponsors.
The FCC did not help by outlawing joint ownership of a newspaper  and  a TV station in the same market.
Of course the socialists are clamoring for government subsidies to journalism overlooking that Congress is rated even lower than the news media.

It is a mess with no apparent solution.

You are not wrong, but bambu is arguing journalists should be cowering at home rather than taking a risk covering important stories. I agree modern communication techniques are altering journalism, but "only cover what is safe" is not an answer.
