Going back in time to strangle Gavrillo Princip in his crib. Which is more workable than yours.
A laughable redirection of the argument.
Only if you want to ignore history and the historical context of what is happening in Israel and Palestine. Which is convenient for you.
Hardly. Your selective use of historical facts cannot make the Arabs the good guys, if you will.
The partition of Palestine was a political decision by world leaders after World War Two.
The Arabs have bitterly disagreed but by choosing violence to protest have made Israel into a world power out of its  need to survive.
Now as more Arab nations seek more peaceful solutions comes Hamas, with no allies, save Iran.
Their tactics have guaranteed the deaths of its own citizens, many of which are deliberately used as targets  so as to engender world sympathy.
Hamas is evil. Arabs shun it. Israel, as it has done for 75 years, will  do what it needs to survive.
I am not arguing anyone is a good guy. Not after 76 years of eye for eye.
A complete distortion of history.  Israel has always been willing to coexist with people who agree not to live in peace.
Regrettably the arrival of Hamas has taken that solution off the table in Gaza.

I am not arguing anyone is a good guy. Not after 76 years of eye for eye. I am saying the UN ignoring the right to self-determination for the Palestinians has created an untenable situation.  And Israelis are about as far from blameless as the Palestinians are.

And my sympathies are with the Palestinians, not Hamas. I just do not think that removing them from the playing field would result in a just solution,  but rather one where the just grievances of the Palestinians continue to be ignored. Those grievances will rise again, and violently, if they continue to be ignored. If people are not heard in a political way, they find another way. It is what happens to a dream deferred.

And anyone who is not the reigning monarch of Straw Man sophistry would acknowledge you are not saying anyone is a good guy in this three-quarter-century goatfuck.  Red loves to waste peoples time.

Yes, provided they leave like you advocate and let Israel control all of Palestine from the river to the sea, just like Ben Gurion envisioned.

I worked with a beautiful young woman from Lebanon at the Broadway Department Store in Pasadena, California, back in 1996, and she was from a wealthy family from Lebanon, and she wanted me to marry her and go live with her in Lebanon, and she said we could live like Royalty in Lebanon, and for me, I just wanted to be an actor and rent an apartment in Hollywood, I had no desire to go live in a crazy place like Lebanon.

And for the poor Jews in Israel, then military service is obligatory, the poor people of Israel are being forced to kill Palestinians right now. The whole situation is hard. So, the Jews have to put their personal welfare and the welfare of their families first, and they need to keep Israel safe for the Jews.

For the Palestinians, I would go live in the forest of Canada, no joke. I would just leave the whole war behind and go have a wife and a family in Canada and work a peaceful job.

And Abu Dhabi and Dubai are nice peaceful areas where they need essential workers.

Kiwanis International is global, and I support Pope Francis, and the United Nations, and the Peace Corps, etc. Blessed are the peacemakers.

Salute,

Tony V.

Right now we need to look at the issue of supply and demand on pricing, along with the issue of fair competition, etc.

I was paying $1 for a can of olives, and now I just paid $3 for that same can of olives from the same store. So we need for the new immigrants to grow olives, to bring more olives to market in order to bring down the price of olives.

We also need to bring down the prices for cured meats, etc, such as bologna, cotto salami, bacon, ham, spam, pastrami, hot dogs, sausage, etc, etc, etc. It is all about supply and demand.

We also need for the immigrants to raise chickens for eggs, and cows for milk and to make cheese, etc. It would be great if they could bring more cheese and eggs, and milk, to market in order to bring down the prices.

Some areas where they can farm and ranch are Battle Mountain, Nevada, and Dodge City, Kansas, etc; both of these areas have lots of water, and good schools for the children. Also, there is La Junta, Colorado, and Elko, Nevada, has a good college and low prices on housing.

And the refugees can sell Pork to the Chinese in China Town in San Francisco, and also they can export Pork from San Francisco to China. The homeless refuges can have Co Ops and Communes, and farms, and ranches, and groves, and orchards, etc. The Future Farmers of America can teach people how to raise cows to make cheese, etc, and how to raise chickens for eggs, etc. And 4-H can help, and other groups. And the college in Elko can teach a lot to the farmers and ranchers, etc. And they have the Cowboy Poets Festival in Elko.

And there is Trader Joe's, and Stater Brothers, and Von's, and Northgate, etc, if people send them cheaper eggs, and cheaper olives, and cheaper cotto salami, etc, then they can bring the prices down. We also need cheaper canned soup, and cheaper canned chili, etc. And I love the Chef Boyardee Beef Ravioli, etc. We can also have cheaper spaghetti sauce, and people can bring the prices down by growing more tomatoes, they can put the refugees to work growing tomatoes, etc.

Salute,

Welcome to 2024...where everyone seems to be just increasing the prices of what they're selling to whatever level customers will pay.
Think the olives cost too much unreasonably, think that price-gouging is going on, ...don't buy them.
Leave them on the shelf.
If enough people leave them on the shelf, the price-gouging will stop.

Article in my paper today, blueberries costing $14 ... readers commenting, complaining.
One guy said "blueberries for $14?...no thank you, I'll stick with my Coke and chocolate"!!!

It's everywhere, especially in my supermarkets.
Average Joe is *bleeding* in bambuworld.
American style homelessness is appearing.
Housing and rents unaffordable for an increasing number.
Leftist govt's massive immigration is much of the cause.
I believe team bambu will never be homeless, but who knows what the future holds. Average Joe is going backwards, prices of just about everything increasing much higher than the rate of inflation and the amount of wage and pension increases.

You are right of course, if we refuse to pay the high prices and let the goods sit on the shelves then the prices will come down.

But, at the same time we have masses of homeless people coming to the USA looking for work, and the Bible says that if a man does not work then neither should he eat, Mexicans are taught to work hard. Our immigrants from our Southern Border can all be growing food in order to keep the prices low on food, we can have a high supply to keep the prices low. Like with the California wine from Modesto, I am getting it for $4 per bottle, and I bet it costs twice that in Montana or in Wyoming. California wine is probably a lot more expensive in New York than it is here in California.

But yes, I had to quit eating eggs because of the high price of eggs. I used to love omelettes, and steak and eggs, and scrambled eggs with Chorizo, etc, but all too expensive now because of high egg prices. The refugees need to raise chickens for eggs to bring down the price of eggs. And the homeless hippies can have communes where they can raise chickens for eggs, etc, to bring down the price of eggs. The Future Farmers of America can teach people how to raise chickens for eggs, and how to raise cows for milk to make cheese, etc. And we need to put all of those refugees to work growing food, etc, to bring down the prices, and if we have surpluses then we can make money by exporting food to China, etc.
