WaPo continues its Murdochian metamorphosis.

Can you blame the Post for wanting to get back to profitability?

Lying to rubes and mental invalids without even a nod to credibility can be profitable

Yep, and what is worse than lying is omitting and/or cherry picking facts in staff editorials.  When people depend on journalists to get the whole story, chopping parts off to fit your agenda is unethical.  Even the mental valids can be deceived.
Do you know the purpose of an editorial?

Yes.  Commentary from the editorial board - opinions informed by all facts pertinent to an issue.  Lying and cherry picking of facts renders commentary worthless and often propagandistic.

You have no interest in learning what degrowth theories are actually about, so you will lazily swallow whatever dumbed-down caricature of it that fits your partisan biases.

Red uses editorials to give himself something to shout into the mirror while he fists himself. He assumes this is common practice for healthy adults.

Orange County is going to pump a lot of money into making the OC nicer, including by investing in Beach Blvd, including by Rock and Brews at Beach and La Palma which is owned by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of Kiss. Beach needs lots of stuff for the Youth including a skateboard park and music store, etc, and by the Rock and Brews Club they could build a first class Bare Elegance Strip Club. They could build a huge Mediterranean Garden with a first class Bare Elegance Strip Club next to the Rock and Brews Club.

And shops from the Universal City Walk can open on the Blvds all over Southern California, along with the cruising, etc.

I saw a bunch of old people sitting in front of a retirement home in their wheel chairs, and they looked sad and pitiful, they need to all be wearing cool sunglasses, while drinking margaritas, and while eating Super Stars with Cheese from Carl's Jr, with happy Rock and Roll music playing. And if they want they can have a joint. With a 5 star feast planned for dinner, and a good movie. They need to kick it up a notch and enjoy life more.

I live in a retirement community.
This community is classed as "independent living"...ie; the residents can take care of themselves, or their partners/'outside help' can take care of them if they're ok mentally.

Next step is into 'Aged Care', for the mentally challenged whose partners can no longer look after, and single folk who are in wheel chairs permanently and need high care.

'Aged care' = the 'nursing home' of days gone by.

Yes, the 'young half naked women' of today, are the retirement community/aged care residents women of tomorrow...if they eat all their vegetables and live that long.
Yes, the 'young people' of today are the 'old people' of tomorrow.
Many don't realise that, and treat 'old people' with contempt.
Little do they know that what they allow for the old people of today will be what they'll be suffering when it's their turn in the "retirement village, nursing home bus...having been thru menopause, gained weight, ...and negotiating hair loss, restricted movement, failing eyesight, aches and pains, etc and ridicule from "young people" [not all].

I am very empathetic, sympathetic, and compassionate when it comes to other people, for the aged, as well as for the homeless, and the orphans, etc. And I hate these hard core assholes who only care about money and not about people. The most important thing is people, the money is just a tool to help people.

I fully support providing the best care for our elderly, as well as for our homeless, and for our orphans, etc.

And it is important for our writers and filmmakers and television producers to create good movies and television shows that provide a good example for people.

The Bible tells us to help the homeless and the poor, and to treat other people the way we want to be treated.

Har!  No doubt his last experience of maternal affection was when she was giving him the details of Chuck Hughes death as he floated inside her womb.

NEW ORLEANS - A bill signed into law this week makes Louisiana the only state to require that the Ten Commandments be displayed in every classroom in public schools and colleges - and stirs the long-running debate over the role of religion in government institutions.

-----

While I support obeying the 10 Commandments and the Golden Rule, it is something that we should do on our own and which should not be forced on us by our government.

But, putting the 10 Commandments on the wall is pretty much the same as putting "In God We Trust" on our money, and I see no problem with it. Louisiana needs to have the freedom to put the 10 Commandments on the walls of the schools if they want to.

The Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles has the Golden Rule above the entrance, and it is great ( it would be a good spot for an Oscar Night Party, like Night of 100 Stars that Norby used to throw, and there is MacArthur Park there for an outdoor party, etc).

Does the display of the Ten Commandments offend you?
