Mexico can expand trade with Israel, and with Lebanon, etc, and Mexico can send them food, and Israel can teach many good things to Mexico, everyone will benefit from improved relations between Mexico and with Israel and with Lebanon, etc.

Also Pope Francis is in the G-7 and can help in the Middle East and in Russia, etc. The Catholic Church is also involved in China, etc, and in the Philippines, etc.

And I told the Pope and everyone else that Zelenskyy needs to come to the Russian Tea Room in New York City to ask for help. New York has a lot of power.

Mexico can also send food to Northgate Markets in the USA and they could go to Australia, etc. Kentucky can get cheap food from Mexico while the people of Kentucky go back to school and get job training, etc, Northgate Markets can open in Kentucky, etc.

And I told the Pope about the Kiwanis International owned Village in Victoria, British Columbia, for the refugee children.

We also need to promote Farming in the USA, and we need to teach people how to hire Farm Workers with the United Farm Workers, etc. We can put the homeless people to work growing food and making cheese, etc. And the refugees need to be connected with UNION jobs, etc, and they need to be protected by our rules and laws. It would be good to make our immigrants legal like Reagan did.

And Beverly Hills is going to love Mexico now that Mexico has a Jewish President, and Barbra Streisand will love her.

You would know that a person at an office enquiry counter serving customers all day isn't going to be able to do a stack of work at a desk as well.

Where I worked, the branch manager and supervisors were not the employer, they just did annual reports to head office.

So, (it wasn't special for me, other staff were also subjected to the "what have you been doing all day?" bullying)...I started making a list of how my time was spent during the day...to the 'minute'...and would rattle that off in reply.
They stopped asking after a while.
Then you'd get transferred to another branch and have to go thru the whole process again.
The organisation never really employed enough staff to do the work properly.
...as a result staff would cut corners...and always have an excuse.

Accept responsibilty?
Senior cop once told me that in an accident "always blame the other guy, because he will be blaming you, for sure and certain."

Renting shoes at a bowling alley would've been 'heaven' compared to being abused in "what have you been doing all day" world.
That would now be paying $24 per hour, the minimum wage was just increased.

I stayed in the organisation as long as I could, for the cheap healthcare, 50% discounted home loan interest rate...and played the game.

Stay home, get a doctor's certificate, you got full pay.
Eventually they got the message.
Co workers will try to blame you for things.
We learned to guard our keys, sign in codes, access cards with our 'lives'.
Gotta watch all people around money, especially gamblers.

Oh, and women were allowed to verbally abuse you, loudly if they felt like it, without censure.
They can't do that today.

I am thankful though that the job I had there then existed...because it doesn't exist now.

Bambu, somehow your job at the banks sounds like Nathaniel Hawthorne in "The Scarlet Letter" when he is talking about working at a Customs House in New England in the early days of America. Life is hard when you are not living your dreams and when you find no fulfillment in your job.

Here in America we have the "American Dream" and California has the "California Dream" and so life is different when you are living your dreams, when you are living your dreams then you are motivated by more than money, and you rise to greatness because you are living your dreams.

In America you might have been like Alexander Hamilton who founded the Bank of New York.

And when people or circumstances start sucking your soul out of you, then one needs to change things, one needs to change jobs, or change locations, etc. I went all the way to Italy to try to work in the Italian Cinema. We need to keep our dreams alive. When I worked at Universal Studios then everyone wanted for me to buy the studio, I would love to buy Universal Studios. It is important for good people like me to be at the top so that I can protect the poor people. We need for good Christians to be at the top. And I would be altruistic. And I would be the kind of Boss who brings out the best in everyone. We will see what happens. I need a good wife as a helper. You are lucky to have a good wife Bambu.

Max Weber wrote about how bureaucracies ruin people, and that was what you experienced Bambu, I am sorry you went through that. But, you are a survivor, and you made the most of it. And now you try to help others in your retirement via your computer and internet connection. I am sure a lot of people have read your posts over the years. You seem like a good person, you just did not have the right environment, and you did the best you could with your situation. And I respect you for not being a criminal nor a thief, you are a good Christian and I respect that.
