The writer, Arwa Mahdawi, is one of the most incisive political writers presently working for any news outlet.

She obviously wasn't in a Japanese prison camp being tortured to death, drained of all her blood etc.
Being experimented on while alive and no drugs, classed as a lump of wood.
She obviously wasn't fighting the barbaric Japanese at Iwo Jima, Guadal Canal, having been bombed at Pearl Harbor.
She obviously wasn't a young Aussie lad sent to fight the invading Japanese in PNG, on Kokoda Track...poorly armed, no real hope.
Obviously she wasn't one of the Australian nurses forced into the sea and machine gunned in the back
by Japanese soldiers in the Bangka Island massacre.
"Chin up, girls...I love you all" Matron said to her nurses as they walked into the water to their deaths.
(One played dead, survived, told all).

She obviously wasn't in the Sandakan death marches.

She obviously wasn't helping build a defensive grid across the middle of Australia to try to stop the Japanese invasion...the population knowing their fate, having heard of what had happened in Asia.

Eventually, Japanese bombers that had terrorised northern Australia in 64 raids over 18 months...were replaced with American planes.
Tokyo was fire bombed and Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuked to end the war and save American/Allied lives.

She needs educating.

Status Quoists want no change(from Latin)because they are resistant to change.
Israel has, for nearly 80 years stood ready for a change from the Arabs and, despite progress, is facing Hamas et al who only want the status quo , which is to consistently push for the annihilation  of the Jewish people.

She seems to be anti-Israel, pro Palestinian.
She seems to have missed all the horrors, barbaric sexual torture murder of Jewish women and girls, and  atrocities against Jewish babies/children/families...in Israel, when Palestinian Hamasians invaded from Gaza on Oct 7.

Had she been paying closer attention she would now understand why Gaza lies in ruin and The West Bank is being taken over in the war.

French were warned some time ago, but they refused to listen...went ahead with their mass multicultural immigration.

Who was interrogated by an IDF soldier when I visited my dad's village at 15, because I had a school chemistry book in my bag. Who knows what it is like to be harassed and humiliated by heavily armed soldiers at checkpoints when you are just trying to go from one village to another. If you experience life under occupation for even a day it becomes starkly apparent that there is no way to defend it.

Not a single veteran in Nevada should have to worry about where they are going to sleep at night. They served with honor to keep us safe, and it is our duty to stand with them now.
That is why I secured historic funding for the veteran housing and wrap-around services they need.

Plus in cold winter areas like Battle Mountain, Nevada, then the homeless people will freeze to death and die in the winter, people need to have housing in Battle Mountain as a matter of life and death. We must help all homeless people, including helping our Veterans, and Nevada is a good place. And Battle Mountain has rooms for rent above the Tavern for $100 per month, etc, so there are cheap rooms for rent in Battle Mountain, and also people live in Travel Trailers, etc. Jobs are easy to get at the Casinos in Nevada, and Battle Mountain has Gold Mines.

It is good that Senator Masto is helping to take good care of our Veterans.
