Addition:
From commenters in the newspaper article online about the alleged alcohol poisoning in Fiji, ...I've learnt that, allegedly, not everything 'alcoholic' etc is what it's supposed to be, including drinks in brand name bottles.

Developing countries are not on my travel list.
Nor are countries whose first language is not English.
So it's best I travel the world via my tv screen.
Safer, cheaper, more comfortable, no queues, no weather issues, bathroom facilities always clean and sweet smelling....
...and no poisoned/contaminated drinks.

You can meet the tourists there from all over the world, and you can hear the stories from the tourists. I used to hang out at the Griffith Park Observatory at the snack bar having coffee and talking with the tourists. And at Universal Studios we had lots of tourists, etc. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and I enjoy hearing their stories.

And I enjoy learning about Australia from you Bambu, thanks for posting here.

Salute,

Tony V.

News from Mexico...

Conversation with Ted Sarandos, CEO of Netflix, about expanding activities in Mexico. Good news very soon for Mexico.

----------

Elvis filmed "Fun In Acapulco" in Mexico, lots of movies and television shows can be made in Acapulco, and Beyonce can make a fun movie in Acapulco, etc.

One commenter said that in America the drinks would be safe, but my biggest worry would be getting shot.

Not even safe being a teacher in a Christian school these days..as evidenced by the latest school shooting in America, the 39th this year.
Nowhere is safe, but the safest place for me is at home.
Venturing out in a car in bambuworld is very risky, 7 dead on NSW roads from last Friday to last Monday.

So worry not, I won't ever be going overseas, particularly to the US where my money is basically *worthless*.
Mrs bambu, on the other land, would travel to America and tour around every year if she could afford it.
So many places to see, so much to experience, she is besotted.

Your greatest worry everywhere should be getting shot, or stabbed, or bludgeoned. You have a personality that makes doing you violence infinitely preferable to engaging in further conversation. Stay home, Bambu. Stay home.

Can't go to Britain, thousands of people are having their phones stolen, ...grabbed from their hands, picked from their pockets, and in their bags ripped from their person.

Evil bad people are everywhere today, everywhere.
No more, "tally ho, isn't it a lovely day today" in Britain.
The streets are running with tears of theft sorrow.

Bambu, Italy is beautiful, and you would be safe in Rome, Rome is the Christian Capital of the world. And France is also nice, I spent 3 days in Cannes for the Film Festival in 2000 and it was very safe and great.

In the USA, yes, some areas are bad, and for instance, you like Sports and they have nice new sports arenas in Inglewood, etc, but Inglewood is very dangerous, they have dangerous Black gangs in Inglewood, so the people need to be careful in that area. Compton, Inglewood, South Central, those would all be dangerous areas for you Bambu. If you come to the USA then come to nice areas like Malibu, Topanga, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Marina Del Rey, Anaheim, Palm Springs, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, etc, and then in Florida there is Orlando and Cocoa Beach and Saint Augustine, etc. Las Vegas is nice too, and Battle Mountain, Nevada, is safe. But, yes, be careful in America.

I am sure Monaco is safe too.

The world has lots of nice safe places.

And I bet Australia is great. I will visit Australia someday.

As long as several nations have, all total, over 12,000 nuclear warheads, there are no safe places on this planet.  Get your diapers on now, Bambu.

Meanwhile, the drone sightings in the northeast US are causing all the dimwits to make themselves better known on SM...some of them are GOP senators.

I feel Carl Hiaasen is taking notes feverishly, amassing material for his next novels.

Bambu, it will get better if we all demand it to get better, etc.

It was so much nicer 40 years ago. And a friend and I were talking about the Orange Show in San Bernardino, I saw Johnny Cash there, with Roy Clark, and Buck Owens, when I was a child, and my friend used to take his son to the races there, etc. The Orange Show was wonderful. Now San Bernardino is a ghetto. I invited the San Miguel Corporation from the Philippines to come help to save San Bernardino.

Of note, my friend might sing "Don't Take Your Guns to Town" by Johnny Cash, as a Punk Rock song, he just needs to get the rights. Rob Zombie did "I've Been Everywhere" by Johnny Cash, and Social Distortion did "Ring of Fire" and so it would be cool if my friend can make it happen.

Anyhow, we need to have good neighborhood watch programs, and more community activities to bring the communities together, and more wellness centers and mental health associations, etc, and it can get better. And Early Childhood Education is important and we can teach the children how to read when they are 4 years old, etc.

Of note for the teachers, watch "The Changing of the Guard" from the old Twilight Zone television show.

And Kiwanis International can help, etc.

Peace.

The work that I did at China Lake was all about Missile Defense and trying to make the nuclear missiles useless, we can just shoot them all down, etc. My Mother also did work at Edwards on Missile Defense. We are also working on better ways to see the nuclear materials to stop the transportation of the materials, etc, we can see it at the border, and at the ports, and from space, etc. While we have been working on missile defense then we have also invented Laser Eye Surgery from research at China Lake, and they are progressing now into progress on curing cancer. The equipment used to see the nuclear materials at the border is the foundation for new research to cure cancer. Lots of great things are happening.

On the issue of drones, we have equipment now to jam and crash the drones. You can find information about jammers with a Google search.

Peace.

Christianity is rising fast in China, and President George W. Bush and Condoleezza Rice both went to churches in China.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_China

Pope Francis is doing well in China, and even though the President of China is kind of a jerk in some ways, we are making progress, and we can have peace.

Of note, Christianity in China is making progress because of Schools, Hospitals, and Social Programs. Just like in Mexico and in Latin America, in some places the only school is a Catholic School and the only hospital is a Catholic Hospital and the ones feeding and housing the poor are the Churches, etc.

We can preach to them the salvation of Jesus while we are feeding the poor, and helping the homeless, and teaching the children, and teaching the Doctors, and while treating the sick, etc.

And Muzi and Natalie Portman can help the mentally ill and the homeless, they both studied Psychology at Harvard, they need to check out the Mental Health Association in Santa Ana, etc, they can copy that and build MHAs in China, etc, and China can have Wellness Centers like the one in Orange. We can also help the drug addicts in China by teaching them about Narcotics Anonymous, etc.

And China can have Kiwanis International, etc.

We also need to support the Peace Corps.

We can have peace and we can make progress towards a better world for the poor.

US economy is rising...an interest rate cut.
Great news for America.

Meanwhile, as a result the Australian dollar has plunged to .62 cents US...and $50 billion has been wiped of the ASX (stock exchange).
Luckily, I don't have stocks or money in superannuation funds that do have stocks from which they earn income for customers.
Also luckily I'm not travelling to the US...basically throwing 38% of my money in the trash bin on my way to the plane...which is against my financial "religion".
