RIP President Jimmy Carter
And now there are three.3️⃣
If you are saying Trump is not an ex-president, then I heartily agree.  Though possibly we share this opinion on quite different grounds.

Sounds like a grid problem, rather than a shortage of wind and sun.  Subsidize grids and storage batteries and you will have reliable megawatts forever.

BTW, happy new year, Auckland!  (and probably Sydney by now)

Thanks.
Same to you.
1.55am New Years day now in Sydney ...Daylight Saving Time. Clocks forward 1hr in Oct, back 1 hr in April   or something.

Qld state, Brisbane the capital, doesn't have daylight saving.
It's all very confusing.
Nor does Qld have a state senate, ruling state govt just does what it likes, no House of review.
Soft leftist govt rule for a decade has seen youth crime skyrocket, and the state debt reach $80 billion.
Finally the People saw the light recently and elected a rightist govt.

Have a happy New Year everyone.

Of note on publicity and Israel, on Facebook they have the pretty women from the Israeli Defense Forces dancing and looking very pretty even while in uniform with weapons. These videos are good because they help for the world to see the Israeli Army as pretty young women, and it humanizes them, they are not monsters, they are pretty young women who are defending Israel.

I saw my Brother for Christmas at my Mom's house in the desert, the one who married Roy Rogers and Dale Evans' Granddaughter, Kristen, I have not seen my Brother for a long time, he is doing good, he works for a company that makes Moonshine now, in Missouri, they sell Moonshine all over the South ( https://www.smithcreekmoonshine.com/ ), and he is a Grandfather now. It was good to see my Brother, and my Mom, and Sister, and step dad.

I hope we can have peace in 2025.

And for the refugees from the Middle East, I suggest sending them to the Kiwanis Village in Victoria, British Columbia.

Salute,

Tony V.

Following in the model of famed Dutch capital Amsterdam, Newsom signed a bill into law in 2024 allowing local governments the authority to approve permits for cannabis cafes, places where customers can not only smoke marijuana, but also order food and drinks and listen to music. 14 hours ago

--------

The Dragonfly club in Hollywood needs to allow cannabis, they already have a great outdoor area where people smoke pot. And the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood needs to allow cannabis.

It makes sense to allow clubs and cafes in California to sell and smoke cannabis like in Amsterdam.

Chicago, Detroit, Harlem, Saint Louis, Las Vegas, etc, all need to be allowed to serve and smoke cannabis at their clubs and cafes as well.

Salute,

Tony V.

Good stuff, DJ.  Enjoyed the Trump appointee depictions.  You can expect near infinite quantities of cartoon material in the next four years.

As for what's in Luigi Mangione's head, who knows - but I can imagine it is very Ted Kazinski like.

Peace on Earth was obviously just a fantasy.

Trump has the chance to kill woke and all its consequences stone dead.
Hopefully he'll do it.

Way too much tolerance in Western civilisation, so Poland sent it packing, all gone, bye bye.
Ah, great to live in Poland these days.
The President/Govt there doesn't care what anyone thinks about them, they're making no apologies for doing what their People want.
Trump could consult them for what works.

Thanks OC!  I am learning to draw with both hands at the same time to
keep up with the tsunami of material heading down the pike.
