About 6 in 10 Republicans said they have a great deal or quite a bit of confidence that the votes in last yeats presidential election were counted correctly nationwide, according to the poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. That is a sharp rise from about 2 in 10 Republicans who were confident in an AP-NORC poll in October. And about two-thirds of Republicans in the new survey said they were confident in their states vote count, up from about 4 in 10 before the election.

Say goodbye to coal, and we need to start educating the former coal miners for the jobs of the future, and we need to train the children of the coal miners to be Doctors, Psychiatrists, and Dentists, etc. We can build a new Medical School in Morehead, Kentucky, which is the poorest part of Kentucky. And we can send cheap food from Mexico to Kentucky to feed the people while they all go to school and get job training, etc. Kentucky is doing the best the state has done in the whole history of Kentucky, so this is a great time to invest in Education, and in new Libraries, etc.

A small disagreement: Many Repubs do believe in democracy.  Where a confusion arises is that many, AFAICT, define it somewhat differently (much as Athenians defined it differently)(or colonial era landowners, later, and so on).  THEY are the demos.  Their tendency towards nativism is coming from (for most voters) unexamined assumptions about who really belongs to "we the people."  I don't pretend I fully understand it, but it seems like a sort of regression that people fall into with very little real thought.
