I want to be reincarnated with Levon's voice.

Or Emmylou's.

Emmylou and Alison Krauss are what angels sound like.  (and my daughter, who also plays fiddle and sings backup in a couple bands)

Samuel Beam's song is underrated.  Something beautiful distilled from grief.  There's a romcom with Scarlett J which has the original Iron and Wine version in its soundtrack.  In Good Company - knew I'd heard it somewhere.

I remember actually staying awake to watch the late show when they had folks like John Hiatt on.  I don't understand comment sections where they say he is underrated or underappreciated.  He is pretty well recognized as a multigenre master.  A former GF said I looked like him, which I didn't see at all but it was kind of her.  Rather have his skillset.

He has what Neil Young has (but in a quite different way), which is this bluesy suggestion of a frailty or constriction in his voice which somehow works to strengthen it.  You can hear it here...
