Anyone watching the new Ripley miniseries?

I like the B/W format and casting.  Took a sec to recognize that Marge (played by Gwyneth the vagina steamer in the film) was Dakota Fanning.  All growed up!

For some reason I am getting photos on my facebook page of all of the young models and actresses, I did not request them all, but I enjoy looking at them all, and as a Producer, and writer, I can imagine which jobs they would be good for, etc. Like Aaron Spelling with "Fantasy Island" and "Love Boat," there could be an adult version for a newly started Playboy Channel, and "I Dream of Jeanne" and "Beach Blanket Bingo" and "Fun in Acapulco," etc.

And Playboy Magazine can interview Muzi of China ( They could have National Lampoon from Harvard do the interview for Playboy ) and they can have a pictorial of Mahlagha Jaberi to promote improved women's rights in Iran. Etc. They could do a lot of cool things.

Anyhow, the new young women on social media are going to  be the future stars in the Entertainment Industry. And 54% of the modern services economy is streaming services such as movies and television shows. The world needs content, and Aaron Spelling and Hugh Hefner made a fortune from hiring the beautiful young women.

There was a sign at the entrance at Universal Studios and it said that the most beautiful women in the world enter that gate. And back then even the Fred Flintstone show had lots of beautiful women. Women love show business, and the Producers get rich.

Ripley is a series that I imagine Hitchcock would have liked, and some episodes (the fifth in particular) owe much to his influence.  While I found the early episodes dragged in places, the series was never boring and at times spellbinding, and even the slow stretches offer a kind of immersion in a sixties Italy seen through a distorting American lens.  Andrew Scott, an Irish actor who played Moriarty in the BBC series Sherlock, plays the title role, and manages a range of moods, from chilling to lighthearted to sadly empty, always skirting some kind of abyss effortlessly, as if being Mr Ripley was a stroll in the park.  Moments of dark humor and wit also resonate with the long shadow cast by Sir Alfred.

If people are looking for a good low budget Western to produce then there is the Slocum series of novels by Jake Logan, it would make a great adult Western to produce. They have over 400 Slocum novels.

As Newsom gives tax breaks to film and television producers, then the Slocum Westerns is one idea of something great to film.

There can be a new television show named "The Peacemakers," and it can be about a team that travels around the world solving conflicts and preventing wars. Blessed are the Peacemakers. And it can help to teach people about healthy conflict resolution skills, and how to solve problems peacefully instead of with violence. It can set a good example for the world.

The local television networks need to give Public Service Announcements for the Homeless, such as by having Public Service Announcements on KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles to let the homeless people know where the Mental Health Association is in Santa Ana, and where the Wellness Center is in Orange, etc, we need to have Public Service Announcements to let the homeless people know where to go to get help.

Rest in peace to Shannen Doherty, she was so sweet, I spent a day with her when we were young in Hollywood. On the day that I auditioned for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts I was on my way home when I saw them filming "Beverly Hills, 90210" and I stopped to watch them film. I ended up spending the whole day hanging out with them. Shannen Doherty was there, and Tori Spelling, and Jason Priestley, and the whole cast and crew. I discussed shots with the Director, he was cool and he smoked a pipe like Hugh Hefner. They shared their food and coffee, they were all nice. May Shannen Doherty rest in peace, she was very sweet to me on the day I spent with her.

Rest In Peace to Bob Newhart, I never met him which was surprising because I worked for Suzanne Pleshette for one year in 1999 at Empire West, but I always thought that Bob Newhart was funny. I always respected people who can make people laugh, and this is a hard world, it is nice when people can make it humorous and less brutal. People were in hospital rooms with the hardest of circumstances and they were able to watch Bob Newhart on television in their hospital room and laugh, Newhart had the gift of being able to make people laugh even during hard circumstances.

Barbara Eden is extremely sexy in the 1st Episode of "I Dream of Jeannie," wow.

They can film a new series of "I Dream of Jeannie" as an adults series for the newly formed Playboy Channel if it is formed by Cooper Hefner if he succeeds in buying his Dad's company and starting the Playboy Channel. They can film the new shows for the Playboy Channel at Universal Studios in Hollywood, California. For a re-make of "I Dream of Jeannie" for adults then they can hire Marli Buccola to play Jeannie.

One of my heroes was Michael Landon, he was great, and I lived in Malibu right next to where his family lived. He was great on "Bonanza" as Little Joe, and he did a lot of cool stuff, "Little House on the Prairie" was great, etc. He created and directed and produced and starred in "Highway to Heaven."

I never met Michael Landon, he died before I lived in Malibu, but I did get to eat breakfast seated right by James Garner at Paradise Cove one morning.

And I drove Dick Van Dyke to the  airport when I was a limousine driver for Gemstar, we were the official limousine service for the Jay Leno Show and all of the stars used Gemstar. Gemstar also had private jets and body guards and buses and vans, etc, along with limousines.

I liked living in Malibu, and it was a life style, I was never rich when I lived in Malibu, but my house where I lived was just as nice as the home of any star and we had a view of the Pacific Ocean from our rose garden, etc. Michael Landon's family lived in our neighborhood, and a lot of rich and famous people lived there, but it was about the lifestyle and not about being rich. I did not think that I was better than anyone else, I just thought that I was lucky to get to live in Malibu, and I loved the people who I lived with, and Malibu is a great place to live.

We will see, I might move back to Malibu if I can get my movie script made or sold, and my poetry book published, and then I have a lot of other ideas for new movies and television shows, we will see what happens. It would be good to make movies and television shows right here in Anaheim, but if I cannot do that, then it would be great to move back to Malibu and to make movies and television shows with my neighbors there.

Anyhow, Michael Landon was great, and he was a good Christian. The park in Malibu across PCH from Pepperdine is named after Michael Landon.
