RIP Linda Lavin, whose curly-haired super cute Jewgirlness made me almost want to watch two sitcoms in a row.  (it aired right after AITF)

Ah, the real diner shown in the opening credits.  Which was also the exterior shot IIRC for the Scorsese film.  Sounds like a place that would have had packs of picture snapping tourists back in the 70s-80s.
