Los Angeles has the best baseball team, the Dodgers, the best basketball team, the Lakers, and the best football team, the Rams.

And the best new boxers are coming from California.

Well East coast teams are are fun
I really like to clap and cheer
And the Southern teams with the way they hit
They knock me out when I'm down there

Must be some new definition of "best" being used, Tony, because it sure doesn't align with any of the old ones.

The Dodgers have the 5th best record in their league, with 4 or 5 teams ahead of them in the AL, as well. They are barely ahead of the next team in their division and may be tied with them before the end of the night.

The Lakers? Hahahahaha! They finished behind the Clippers. 'Nuff said.

The Rams were much improved last year. They managed to finish only 3rd in the NFC. And who knows how long they will stay in LA this time?

Save Billy Hamilton, Bader on the Cardinals might be the fastest player in baseball. He's a blur.

Have you seen the Mighty Roman Quinn, yet?

Bader's tied for fourth, according to StatCast, while Quinn is tied for 9th. Byron Buxton is 1st, ahead of Hamilton and Trea Turner, who are tied for 2nd:

Rajai Davis is tied for 24th. He's 38. Only one person over 28 is above him. Albert Pujols is at the bottom, a couple slots below Yadier Molina.

Today's quiz (not given by Jeff Passan)

12 players have spend their entire career with the same MLB team, minimum ten big league seasons

Now give me the top 5, based on number of years

Cal Ripken is one of them.

Duh. Yaz has to be one of them.

Kaline. Walter Johnson.

Did Musial make it? I know he lost time to war, like Ted Williams did.

Now I know the correct answer.

And your number is wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Unless you meant to include the word "active" in your post, of course.

In which case, Mauer would be one of them. Yadi, whom I mentioned earlier for his speed, is another. And King Felix is a third.

Pedey is up there. Don't know if he makes it

But again, I am almost certain it is more than 12, given the constraints you listed.

just 12 guys on the same team for 10+ years can't be right.

Sox LF from 1939-1989 take up 3 spots.

Like I said - he has to have meant active players. That way, while it is more than 12, 12 would be close.
