Democrat talking points du jour:

Constitutional Crisis!

Calling like it is.

Spreading and covering up corruption is all the executive branch does anymore.

When voters see Democrats moving people-friendly policies through the House, only to have Republicans kill those bills in the Senate, it will not reflect well electorally for the GOP.”

The far west where Turkic-Muslim Chinese live has become a police state, with crowded reeducation camps, checkpoints all over, deployment of cameras and facial recognition tracking, and a severe crackdown on Islamic worship.

Hmmm, maybe that's how they manage to eliminate attacks by Muslim terrorists.

Meanwhile, over in 'open borders'/'tolerant'/'politically correct' Britain...there are so many people on its terror watch list it cannot go anywhere near watching them all.
...and there's a terror attack in Britain far too often.

The President of Sri Lanka has the right idea...he's going to have every home in the nation searched.
All very nice...the first thing he will have to do is seal the borders, …..then, after every home in a district has been searched it must be "fenced off" and kept "fenced off" until the whole country has been searched.

On her recent trip to America mrs arafura was fingerprinted and face scanned at US Customs....these records then kept on file.
Brilliant idea.
A record of who's who.
Every person in America/the West should have the same records kept of them...fingerprints and face scans on file at the FBI/Western global agencies.

You need to look at Rasmussen's style of asking questions.  It doesn't separate out those who, like me, seeing immigration as a big problem because of how the GOP's policies are being enforced at the border, especially in regard to asylum-seeking refugees.  To an ambiguous question, I would have to answer "Yes" that it's a big problem, even though I felt it was a problem for reasons quite different from those of Trumpistas.  Democrats have favored strict immigration policies - notably Obama.  Just because most Dems don't want a ginormous 2000 miles wall doesn't mean they don't want strict immigration controls.  Or strong action in helping countries like Honduras re-establish social order and law and reduce the corruption.  Republicans want to punish people for fleeing a nightmare, Democrats want to help them and end the nightmare.  I'm an Independent, but my choice is starkly clear of which party has the real solutions in its platform.

Wasnt the CEO of Chick a Fellate the guy who said gay people were an offense to God and his family donated tons of money to antiLGBT causes?   I think his smugly righteous and hateful comments are what really disgusts God.  That, and anyone who uses God as a cover for being a bigot.  Fuck them.

You are stepping out of your zone, Barton.  Just be yourself.  You are accepted here.

News for you:

Also, Rasmussen is STILL doing just landlines and then attempting to interpolate the sentiments of cellular-only people with a method that is considered questionable by some polling experts.  Their weighting system (which supposedly compensates for the fact that rural and elderly people tend to answer their landline phones more) has also been questioned, especially since their results are often 3 - 10 points off from other major polling organizations, and always in a direction that favors the current administration.

Luee, here is what Democrats are doing....

Over Trump’s Opposition, House Approves Disaster Relief and Puerto Rico Aid

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/10/us/politics/disaster-relief-house-trump-puerto-rico.html

Quote
WASHINGTON — The House on Friday again approved a massive emergency relief bill for farmers and communities hit by hurricanes, wildfires, floods and other natural disasters, escalating a standoff with President Trump, who has resisted more aid to Puerto Rico and demanded additional money for immigration enforcement.

Thirty-four House Republicans joined their Democratic colleagues in approving the emergency package, which passed 257-150 and would send $19.1 billion in relief and recovery assistance across the country and give a quick cash infusion to farmers swamped by floods and caught in the president’s trade war.

The package builds on a measure that was initially passed in January, in the midst of a government shutdown, and rejected by the Senate for not accommodating the floods that recently devastated the Midwest. That flood relief was included in the package passed on Friday, which should intensify pressure on the Senate to reach an agreement with or without the president.

“Disaster‑struck communities can’t afford the Republicans’ inaction on this,” said Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California, speaking at a news conference on Thursday. “They haven’t taken up one bill. They haven’t initiated their own bill.”

I'm also an Independent.  I have to support the party that is about getting something useful done, rather than hot air and insult-tweets.

Anyone else following the story of how the Trump Administration is now openly colluding with foreign governments to dig up dirt on his political opponents?

Mr. Giuliani’s plans create the remarkable scene of a lawyer for the president of the United States pressing a foreign government to pursue investigations that Mr. Trump’s allies hope could help him in his re-election campaign. And it comes after Mr. Trump spent more than half of his term facing questions about whether his 2016 campaign conspired with a foreign power.

“We’re not meddling in an election, we’re meddling in an investigation, which we have a right to do,” Mr. Giuliani said in an interview on Thursday when asked about the parallel to the special counsel’s inquiry.

“There’s nothing illegal about it,” he said. “Somebody could say it’s improper. And this isn’t foreign policy — I’m asking them to do an investigation that they’re doing already and that other people are telling them to stop. And I’m going to give them reasons why they shouldn’t stop it because that information will be very, very helpful to my client, and may turn out to be helpful to my government.”

Mr. Giuliani’s planned trip, which has not been previously reported, is part of a monthslong effort by the former New York mayor and a small group of Trump allies working to build interest in the Ukrainian inquiries. Their motivation is to try to discredit the special counsel’s investigation; undermine the case against Paul Manafort, Mr. Trump’s imprisoned former campaign chairman; and potentially to damage Mr. Biden, the early front-runner for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

"Nothing illegal...somebody could say improper."  Huh.

First, there is the obvious point to be made that an investigation pursued by a government motivated to curry favor with the Trump Administration is not reliable.  Worse, the plan may be to literally have the Ukraine manufacture evidence that could then be used by Trump's corrupt AG to gin up an investigation here.

Second,  I would imagine that this is very illegal.  Particularly if Trump is promising the Ukraine favors for "finding" dirt on his political opponents, which of course he surely is.

To connect those dots, remember that Trump forced the Ukraine to stop cooperating with Mueller:
