SCOTUS rejects challenge to " In God We Trust"

Again.

No surprise - more liberal Courts than this one have made the same decision.

They are, of course, dead wrong. The usage of the phrase on official government documents violates the Establishment Clause and not particularly subtlely. But as every member of the Court is a member of a deity-worshipping religion, it is unsurprising that they would make that ruling.

Since he became president, Trump has spent an average of $121,839 A DAY of our tax money on golf.

Just a news item.

Meanwhile, back in the Trumpian Swamp:

https://www.politico.com/story/2019/06/10/mcconnell-elaine-chao-1358068

Elaine Chao has an employee whose job it is to coordinate with Kentucky to fast track any projects for them, as her husband runs for reelection.

Speaking of conflicts of interest and misuse of a Cabinet seat for personal gain.

I will wait as you cite a similar case to the one in Minnesota - where a white cop killed an African American woman.  This was so negligent it will be very very tough for you to do so

Doesn't bother me at all. I went back and made the edit, myself.

But you didn't need the extra bold markups!

The word GOD, Ward. It promotes monotheism. (That means a belief in a single all powerful deity, Ward.) It has no more business being a part of a secular society than the Christian chaplains in Congress or "so help me God" as a required oath (which it is not).

How?

The Constitution leaves to Congress to set up its rules. No one is required, for religious reasons, to take an oath. It can easily be replaced with an “ affirmation of truth”.
