At 5/9 it was never a big issue for me, though when i lived in Nebraska people are so tall there that it was sometimes a challenge to see past a crowd gathered on a street gawking at something.  But more challenge for my 5/5 uncle.  Shortness is actually a bit of an asset for heavy lifting and overall core strength.   Women who post height limits (see article) strike me as weeding themselves out of serious consideration - plumbing the depths of shallowness.

I recall some cracker making similar arguments about black citizens having standing to object to statues of the traitor Rob E Lee in public parks, etc.
