In shocking news, the Department of "Justice" declared that they won't do their jobs.

"Director Mueller, isn't it fair to say the President's written answers were not only inadequate and incomplete, because he didn't answer many of your questions, but where he did, his answers showed he wasn't always being truthful?"

Mueller responded in four simple words: "I would say generally."

Good job, Puerto Rico!

http://www.theweek.com/5things/854824/rossell-resigns-governor-puerto-rico

After the house indicts, and the people overwhelmingly vote out bastard trump, we are going to have to run the full P.R, playbook on the GOP to get the malignant pricks to leave.

I for one have been taking copious notes.

Mueller’s staff will make interesting witnesses during the upcoming impeachment hearings.

Things that were under Meuller’s purview make up only 25-35% of the contents of the charges that will be forwarded against Deficit Don.

Republicans can look to the California state party to see their national future.

That’s part of the other 65-75%.

The first bit is locked in. You can get an obstruction charge through the house.

http://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/07/mueller-wont-say-it-but-trump-clearly-obstructed-justice/594634/

Sending the impeachment to the senate should be the last day the house is in session, preferably after the Senate has recessed. That way the whole Senate contest can be on how do you want a Senator to vote on Deficit Don, should the slimy shit bag manage to avoid defeat.

For immunity and time with Mother and his quiet disgrace, Pence can organize a 25th amendment removal once the vote comes in then hang around through the transition and the lame duck session.

Though there is a non zero chance trump offs himself when the vote comes in. That goes up faster as he drops below 38% of votes cast.

This is why the GOP needs to be decisively dismembered, reduced, defunded, defanged, and declawed. They are waging war against humanity. There is no good reason for them at all.

"I never had sex with that woman". He did but still was not impeached. This is more about the starving and abused Latino children and their greedy relatives that the Donald is protecting us from? The presidential office needs some discretionary leeway.  He talked to Putin, isn't looking for peaceful solutions good? The precedence has been set, lose an election and throw an impeachment hissy fit.

It is worth noting several Republicans indicated in October of 2018 that they would support the impeac9of President Hilary Clinton.

Besides the already mentioned point that your ignorance of comparatively recent history is showing, about Bill Clinton's impeachment...

No, this was already under discussion before this administrations repeated violations of US law became quite so apparent with regards to the kidnapping of children.

"Leeway" = permission to keep parents from their children in violation of court orders? It equals the right to repeated hold US citizens for no reason whatsoever? It's fine with you that the kids are getting sexually abused and raped? It's fine with you that they are crammed in together, without soap or blankets, without sufficient food? What kind of a monster are you?!

However, rightly or wrongly, none of that is what this is about. Where the hell have you been?????

... "talked to Putin?" WTF, Luee!

Actively sought and accepted foreign interference in our election.

Why doesn't that bother you?

Instructed his staff and officials to lie to the Special Counsel and his team.

Is this another of those "leeway" situations for you? He has to be given some space to tell his folks to commit perjury?

Paid hush money to some witnesses against him; attempted to coerce or buy off other witnesses.

But what's a little witness tampering between friends, Luee!

This is without going into the emouluments clause violations to the tune of 10s of millions of dollars. This is without discussing his Trump Foundation violations, severe enough that he was forced to shut it down. This is without exploring the abuses of his inauguration team money.

None of those were in Mueller's purview, but any of them is more than enough cause for consideration of impeachment, let alone all of them combined. The man breaks the law without even noticing it, because, as he said a couple days ago "I have the right to do whatever I want as president."

The impeachment of Bill Clinton:
https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2018/12/clinton-impeachment/573940/

Quote
1998, the Republican-led House of Representatives voted to impeach President Bill Clinton on one charge of perjury and one charge of obstruction of justice. The articles of impeachment had their origin in a relationship between the president and a 22-year-old White House intern, Monica Lewinsky.

The case went to the Senate.

And you think this is somehow at a lower level than that? Do we have evidence that Trump lied to Mueller?

What do you think perjury is?!

As for obstruction of justice, that's what telling your staff to lie for you is. That's what attempting to intimidate witnesses is. And the law is clear --> obstruction of justice does not require your efforts to work.

Is he guilty? Well, let's just say that impeachment proceedings are not about establishing guilt - they are about establishing probable cause for a trial.

The probable cause is established for everybody, Luee. There is enough reason for impeachment hearings. It doesn't mean that it will happen, because many in the GOP who were happy to impeach Clinton see nothing wrong with what Trump did and others just don't want to risk offending Trump.

And because dolts like you who do not know their history are also busy squeezing their eyes and ears shut to avoid risking knowing the truth.
