So our "president" is enlisting a foreign government to participate in his slandering of minority members of the US Congress...

He is?

Are you sure?

A truck hits protestors at an ICE facility, sending several to the hospital.

kiidcarter8 posts a tweet about the incident, calling for ICE to treat those protesters with even less "restraint."

kiidcarter8:  Trump isn't my candidate

The rest of us: LOL.

Knife attacks will continue to rise
Better ban those late night sword infomercials.

Britain is facing a "knife-crime crisis."  One of the main reasons Boris just upped the national police force by 10K.

It's almost quaint to have to police and worry about stabbings.
I'm not even sure the US bothers to keep track of public stabbings.
The threat is just so many levels lower than the gun crime and mass shootings that afflict the US.

Someone posted about a mayor in Cali trying to tax gun owners.
Got me wondering if Blue states should take a page out of the anti-abortion states and start legislating restrictions on gun ownership in order to reduce their prevalence.  For instance, all gun owners could be required to pass a gun safety class, at their expense.  Perhaps even every year.  Or have an annual inspection to make sure their guns are safe and haven't been illegally modified.  Etc.  Not sure I like this approach, but harassing gun owners in Blue states would reduce new gun purchases and hopefully keep gun numbers down.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/14/politics/fact-check-kamala-harris-makes-false-claim-about-trump-and-auto-jobs/index.html

Harris' "700,000" figure relied on a previous Center for Automotive Research study, published in July 2018, that estimated a loss of more than 700,000 jobs if Trump imposed a 25% tariff on automobile and auto parts imports from every country. This estimate, too, was for all kinds of jobs, not autoworkers alone, and the Center for Automotive Research says it has been supplanted by the updated analysis in the February 2019 study.

No matter whom the Democrats nominate for president, the message and policies of The Squad will make up the heart of the nominee's platform. This is a disaster for the Democrats and a gift to the GOP, which is fighting to reassure educated suburban voters to stick with them. Sure, they may not love Trump's behavior or rhetoric on some issues, but they'll take a good economy and secure border over socialism, higher taxes and open borders any day.

The link between GOKKK welfare and Immigration cuts,

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5d5449bbe4b0cfeed1a78246

I don’t think raw racism alone will get us out of the coming recession. It’s a shame the misadministration doesn’t have anything else to base a policy on. The smart people looted, ran away, and lawyered up long ago. Nothing left in the White House but the morons and the rats.

The question is can we make it to andthrough the election before Trump burns down what’s left after this bust out.

Copycatting the Harlem hellraisers

You just don’t get it...

I wont represent you and say you mean to defend the recent actions vs police officers (water buckets, garbage, etc).

Enjoy the day.

This is what happens when communities see the police as an occupying force that’s the main thing white folks didn’t get about Ferguson. It was revealed the police department was the muscle behind the government’s legal extortion rackets. When you have to think loooong and hard before you call the cops because shit how you going to trust the police when you can’t trust the police?

If you’ve never seen this from the inside out you have no idea.

It wasn’t a slur, it is a statement of fact.

You have no idea.

I always love to see GOP analysis that pretends the 2018 vote never happened.  Please!  Continue to ignore it.

I suppose maybe the point here is that Republicans should misrepresent the positions of their opponents on healthcare and immigration in order to win elections, but I’m pretty sure they tried that in 2018 too.

Also have to laugh at this notion that anchoring a Democratic candidate to the extreme left of their party is a consideration that is unique to that side of the aisle.

The “president” and head of your party has a roughly 42% approval rating despite that “good economy,” historically the lowest approval ratings overall than anyone since polling.  Why the fuck do you think that is?  It doesn’t come down to Trump’s “behavior or rhetoric.”  He is an extreme right-winger, and most Americans don’t like extreme right-wing policy or ideology.

If the best you can do is “look at these four congressmen in the House of Representatives, they are as extreme as the guy we want to be President…” you are sunk.
