So he has lost already?

We have lost already.

You keep thinking the same way he does - that it is about him.

It's not. It is about this country and its residents, plus it's about this world and its occupants.

And we are, all of us, losing.

Fighting a spiritual war allows a certain amount of collateral damage for many white evangelicals. When people ask how Christians can support Trump given the mass murders, they forget the invisible math being done. There might be hundreds of deaths due to guns, but there will be millions of unborn babies saved. To take away the right to bear arms is second only to getting the mark of the Beast. Healthcare for everyone veers too closely to socialism, which to a conservative Christian represents atheism. Lost lives are nothing compared to lost souls.

No guns. No hope!

Correct.
Expect the unexpected.
Expect to be followed home.
Expect to be kidnapped.
Expect your home to be invaded, 'everybody' else's is.
Expect your young daughters and wife to be raped, set alight and murdered in their own home.
Expect your kids to be attacked on their way to and from school.
Expect monsters to leap from the bushes and rape your young daughters...never let them walk around society without protection.
Expect your wife/daughters to be kidnapped and tortured to death when returning to their cars in train station carparks, or walking alone on the streets, particularly at night.
Have guns on your body ready to fire at the first sign of trouble.
If the scum get control of you it will most likely end badly, you might as well die in the gunfight.

"You need to know there are monsters out there worse than the ones in our dreams," she said. Caitlan has told her story to The Daily Telegraph as a warning to women.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheshire,_Connecticut,_home_invasion_murders

Late in the afternoon of Sunday, July 22, 2007, 48-year-old Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her 11-year-old daughter Michaela Petit went to a local grocery store in Cheshire, Connecticut. They picked up food for Jennifer's pre-birthday meal that Michaela planned to prepare for her. During their trip to the grocery store, they attracted the attention of Joshua Komisarjevsky, who followed them home.[6][7]

According to Hayes's confession, the two men had planned to rob the Petit house under cover of darkness, leaving the family bound but otherwise unharmed. Hayes attributed the grisly outcome to a change of plan. Upon their arrival in the early hours of July 23, they found William Petit sleeping on a couch on the porch.[10] Komisarjevsky struck William on the head with a baseball bat found in the yard and then tied him up at gunpoint in the basement. The children and their mother were then bound and locked in their respective rooms.

#####

The rest is too perverted and horrific to quote.
You and your family will be sexually assaulted and tortured to death in your own homes if the monsters get hold of you.
Your only hope is guns.

How come you never link to stories about kids getting shot with their parents' guns?

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/24/politics/trump-china-trade-war-emergency-economic-powers-act/index.html

Trump claims "absolute" power to tell companies to leave China and require them to do so.

Quote
"I have the absolute right to do that, but we'll see how it goes." He later explained that he was referring to the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), and in a Friday tweet wrote: "For all of the Fake News Reporters that don't have a clue as to what the law is relative to Presidential powers, China, etc., try looking at the Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977. Case closed!"

This is an analysis of the IEEPA from the Congressional Research Service
https://fas.org/sgp/crs/natsec/R45618.pdf

I don't think he can tell them to leave China, but even if he can I don't think he can order them to "come home." OTOH, I do wonder how much the Senate is prepared to let him get away with.

And...

How can he tell us how strong our economy is on one hand and tell us that there is an economic emergency on the other?!

Parents need guns.
It's their responsibility to keep the guns out of the hands of their children.

Parents either need to be wearing the guns, or have them secured [not loaded] but easily accessed ready for use by them in the home.
Bars on the windows and alarms with loud sirens on the doors would give them time to ready the guns to fire.

That's nice. And it didn't come close to answering my question. A simple question that one would not need a Harvard degree to read.

AP-NORC puts the President's approval rating at 36%, down from 38%.

Fox News gave Trump a 43% approval rating, a decrease from 46%.

Gallup shows Trump's approval rating at 41%, down from 42% in late July and 44% in early July.

Monmouth University pegs Trump's approval rating at 40%, down from 41%.

NBC News/Wall Street Journal found Trump had an approval rating of 43% among all adults, a decrease of 2 points from 45% in July among registered voters and 1 point from 44% in their last poll that surveyed all adults in June.

Why is all this such a big deal?

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/24/politics/democrats-2020-debate-climate-dnc-summer-meeting/index.html

I think the DNC is ill-advised to refuse to run a single-subject debate on the climate while also banning the candidates from doing external debates. If I were advising the candidates, I would tell them to push back on this and simply inform the DNC and one of the debate hosts that they will *only* answer climate questions.
