Privately, the president had often talked about fortifying a border wall with a water-filled trench, stocked with snakes or alligators, prompting aides to seek a cost estimate. He wanted the wall electrified, with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh. After publicly suggesting that soldiers shoot migrants if they threw rocks, the president backed off when his staff told him that was illegal. But later in a meeting, aides recalled, he suggested that they shoot migrants in the legs to slow them down. That’s not allowed either, they told him.

Trump's a fucking psychopath.

I'd suggest he do some soul-searching, but I don't think he has one.

Best reason for him to do it!

It would keep him busy for weeks.

Newbold said that in addition to the two current senior officials, security clearances were also granted to contractors and other individuals in the executive office of the president, despite their having "a wide range of serious disqualifying issues involving foreign influence, conflicts of interest, concerning personal conduct, financial problems, drug use, and criminal conduct."

It’s good to know mice are shitting and pissing on every morsel of food that this republican fraud president (I know, the descriptors are redundant as they mean the same thing) puts to his lips in the White House.

It’s a case of vermin attracting more vermin, like Kiid parroting Red.

About that nuclear fusion...

I wish it were more likely. I got excited a few years ago when the Skunkworks set to work on it, but the news since has not given reason to sustain the hope.

As I learn more and more each day, I am coming to the conclusion that what is taking place is not an impeachment, it is a COUP, intended to take away the Power of the....

...People, their VOTE, their Freedoms, their Second Amendment, Religion, Military, Border Wall, and their God-given rights as a Citizen of The United States of America!
Pity Bruno Ganz is dead. He could have played Trump in the movie, be has experience with that type of role.

My God - just imagining the books and movies/TV dramas that will come out of this Presidency

Coup.

The word of the day is...

COUP

The purpose of a word of the day is to learn what that word means.

As I suspect you haven’t, might be a good idea to look up the definition.

Nice summing up of period around the Nielsen resignation

A summary of the summary:  our "president" who has sworn to uphold and defend our nation's laws sees those laws as a mere inconvenience to be bypassed in the service of his personal vision for the country.  And that vision is a government that can shoot asylum seekers in the legs, shut down the border on a whim trapping citizens and shutting down the economy, and seize private property without compensation.

Yes.  Certainly a "nice" and very useful summary.

At least one foreign government booked massive amounts of rooms in Trump's hotels, but no one stayed there.

Yes.  A real mystery what is happening there:

Today's entry in Trump Projection:

President Trump, speaking in the Oval office, said House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff should be looked at for "treason."

Trump again said Schiff should resign and called him a "lowlife," according to reporters in the room.

Thank goodness.  We can all sleep better knowing that you have completed your exhaustive investigation and have found no evidence of wrong-doing.
