I have no issue with their reporting on this particular topic but you have to laugh at kiidcarter8 responding to an allegation about the Epoch Times with an editorial written by...the Editor of the Epoch Times. 

Might want to seek another source for your enlightenment, kiidcarter8.  For example, pointing out that your news organization has never officially endorsed a candidate is not a measure of your independence when you are known to be the biggest buyer of Pro-Trump ads on Facebook outside of the Trump Campaign:

Red wants us to understand that Hillary is his president, his goddess, his mother, and that he wishes he had a big a dick as she does and that he had any balls at all. We get it Red. She just doesn’t feel the same way about you.

Kiid should know by now that no one here regards him as a normal, sane, or decent person, but rather he is seen exclusively as a dangerous and sick criminal.

Both of these characters’ posts are the modern equivalent of a stroll through the lunatic wing at Bedlam. You don’t even have to click on links to the epoch times to see the show.

As for keeping gov't info safe, my memory is getting a little hazy, but wasn't it confirmed that the State Dept servers were targeted for multiple times and hacked into to some degree, while I've never heard of Hillary's server having been breached.  I'll have to check on that, but that's what I recall (which was of course a non-story).  I seem to recall watching a debate and waiting for Hillary to mention that the State Dept was hacked an dher server never was ...

Of course that doesn't get to the law, and a big part of the law is record-keeping.  Otherwise I find it interesting that Trump officials communicate by email up to a point and then when things get dicey, they say let's stop discussing this here (in writing) and talk on the phone (where no record will exist).  It's probably standard DC practice, but also somewhat shady.
