Georgia stands condemned!

Wednesday’s execution came shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court, without explanation, rejected two appeals by the inmate’s attorneys. The defense lawyers had also recently asked state and federal courts to allow DNA testing of evidence collected from the shootings that they say could prove he wasn't the shooter. The state countered that the DNA evidence being sought couldn't prove his innocence.

Lawyer Shawn Nolan called the denial of DNA tests “so sad and frankly outrageous” in a statement after the execution. “In this day and age, where DNA testing is routine, it is shocking that Georgia decided to end this man’s life without allowing us, his attorneys, access to the materials to do these simple tests,” Nolan said.

Given the Trump/Sondland call was done on private cellphones (thus violating the presidential records act), I would guess there are two options for investigators....a

Get a warrant to seize Trump's cellphone, which if it's like most cellphones, at least logs all incoming calls, showing the number from which it originated.

Ask Russian intelligence if they would give us a copy of the recording they likely made in Kyiv.

Since these options have zero probability of working, I guess it's worth asking if some US branch of the intelligence services might have somehow made a record of the call.

But then, all Trump's paranoia and Deep State rant would be gloriously validated.

Is there some legal loophole for US intelligence?

Wouldn't Sondland's phone also have a record of the call being made?  I thought I read somewhere that Sondland's phone records were subpoenaed but I can't find it now.

The significance of Russian Intelligence having a record of the call can't be overstated.  We've asked often what Putin has on Trump.   The pee tape probably pales in comparison now to the info Putin could unleash re: Trump corruption (similar to info we know he has on the Moscow Tower deal) and there is no way to dismiss the real possibility that this is Kompromat that is driving a US Policy that has been deferential (to the say the least) to Russia and their interests.

All Roads lead to Moscow.  Sondland's call just another possible explanation of why that is.

Watching Taylor today should give those faux flag-waving Maga assholes pause and ask themselves who is the more honest, decent and honorable man, who has sacrificed for his country, and fought for his country Trump or Taylor?

What would this have to do with anything?

Ugly is why republicans are so strongly in favor of sexual assault. Without sexual assault, their ugly gives them nothing to do but stand by themselves in the corner at parties mumbling white nationalist conspiracy theories.

When republicans hear “White Christmas”, they think of despoiling bedsheets without consent. The thought makes republicans very merry.

The uncorrected closed captioning of Jim Jordan's asinine comments in which he misrepresents the "facts" to make it seem as if the whistleblower made up the whole thing and therefore must testify publicly.

What is the criminal conspiracy Hillary Clinton was accused of that destruction of her old phones would have covered up?

I dont think she was covering anything up

I think she just didnt need the phones anymore and was allowing someone to vent his/her anger in a safe way.

You made a “what about” -ist comparison between Trump and Clinton, as Trump’s defenders so often do.

It seems to do that, to accuse Clinton of covering something up by destroying call records, she will have to be accused of a criminal conspiracy, right?  So wondering what that was.
