Doesn’t matter what his staff thinks. That’s the point

You think the measure of a leader is having everyone agree with him/her?

Rock on with that

No, Kid, we think that the people one hires should not be actively trying to work around you because they think you are a danger to the country, when you are the president and especially when you "hire the best people."

"No big deal."

So full of shit you are, Kid.

Will the Supreme Court grant trump work release to attend the republican national convention?

I didn't find the speech in question, after admittedly a rather cursory search.  But I assume Harris is aware that police sometimes shoot working folks in their homes for being black.

White folks too
White folk sometimes shoot working folks in their homes for being black, you say?

There's no comma, so I assume he started to type that white folks are too...something.

Unusual for a potus to not be seen publicly on a Monday?  Not sure if this means anything.

Feel badly for anyone who looks enough like Donald Trump to pull that off.

As climate conditions become more extreme, this will become more common.  Last year it was Capetown, IIRC, and its reservoir went completely dry.  2019 has shown a lot of the extremes, with South Dakota having its wettest year in recorded history, Europe having its hottest summer, and Oz its worst drought.  I think the Pollyannas who thought global warming translated to "milder winters and longer growing seasons" everywhere are starting to realize it doesn't quite work like that.

(later edited to correct S. Africa drought location)

Michelle Malkin is just kiidcarter8's type:

The right-wing commentator Michelle Malkin lost a long-term speaking gig Sunday due in part to her praise of a 21-year-old internet racist.

The organization Young America’s Foundation said it was cutting ties with Malkin and implied in a statement Sunday that it was due to her embrace of racists.

“Michelle Malkin in no longer part of YAF’s campus lecture program,” a spokesperson for the right-wing youth organization told the Daily Beast. The publication noted Malkin had been booked for speeches by YAF’s speakers bureau for 17 years.

“Immigration is a vital issue that deserves robust debate,” YAF said in a statement posted to Twitter. “But there is no room in mainstream conservatism or at YAF for holocaust deniers, white nationalists, street brawlers, or racists.”

Heh.  He'd need a team who can apply bronzer in that uniquely grotesque way that Trump does.  And a misspelling tutorial.

Ruh Roh:

Two Senators are looking into a whistleblower’s allegations that at least one political appointee at the Treasury Department may have tried to interfere with an audit of President Trump or Vice President Pence, according to two people with knowledge of the matter, a sign that lawmakers are moving to investigate the complaint lodged by a senior staffer at the Internal Revenue Service.

Staff members for Sens. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Wyden (Ore.), the chairman and ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, met with the IRS whistleblower earlier this month, those people said. Follow-up interviews are being scheduled to further explore the whistleblower’s allegations.

It might not please the most ardent liberals or the Trumpists, but it's interesting.

• Primary season means heightened discussion of intra-party divides. We decided to take things
a step further, testing a hypothetical scenario where America’s two party system instead
became a multi-party system similar to Western Europe. Which party would garner the most
support and where would existing partisans flow?

• Respondents were offered the choice of five major parties: a nationalist-right party, a
traditional-right party, a culturally liberal and globalist party, a center-left party based
on working class interests, and a far-left Green/socialist party.

• Using a voter file-matched online panel, we surveyed n=1,002 registered voters across the
country from October 21 to October 25, 2019, asking: “Suppose the Democratic and
Republican Parties were replaced by a new set of political parties. Which of these parties
would you be most likely to support? A party that would…” Respondents were then shown
descriptions of the various parties’ platforms, without party names or potential leaders.

One approach Republicans are taking to defend trump (the only approach that will end up being available to them) is OK, Trump did it and its bad, but not impeachable.

Each Republican is of his/her own mind.   They don't get together in a room and decide what to say.
