Also, Dems need to run more on issues -- health care, environment, education, corporate/financial regulation, worker pay, abortion rights -- where their positions are popular. 

I think Biden,  had he chosen to run then,  would have focused more on those core platform planks,  and also collective bargaining rights.   Identity politics shouldn't be divisive,  but it is -  too many grievance nurturing white voters turn into single issue voters when they think some other group is a threat to them.

I have no idea where your stats come from,  how terrorist act is defined,  or two percent of what exactly.   But I'm going to go with "no, " anyway.   We are a nation largely composed of refugees from violent areas, either direct warfare or fascist repression or aristocratic brutalizing of peasants.
