Since the initial outbreak of coronavirus, health experts have warned about the likelihood of it spreading to the United States. Unfortunately, the President never hired a White House pandemic expert, and his budgets have made significant cuts to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health.
Preparing for a potential health emergency cannot be done overnight. We must start preparing—that means hiring experts and fully funding our health agencies. Congress is preparing to vote on emergency funding. The President must join us and act before it's too late.

We need to act on this thing quickly, and we need to pump the money into research so that we can develop a vaccine.
Orange County has declared a state of emergency on this issue, so that the county can act quickly and nimbly in response to whatever happens.
And the disease is in Italy, in Tuscany and in Sicily, it is crazy, we need to find a vaccine quickly.
For those of you who have done research, can they use the blood from a survivor to help to find a vaccine?
How are vaccines made? (I know, I can google it, but it would be interesting to get input from someone who has done research and who has actually worked to make vaccines, if anyone here has done that.)
I am glad that Orange County is taking this thing seriously, and I hope that a vaccine can be found quickly.
Salute,
Tony V.
