"Foreign-born individuals exhibit remarkably low levels of involvement in crime across their life course." (Bianca Bersani, University of Massachusetts, 2014. Published in Justice Quarterly.)
_______________

The immigrants come to America for a better life, and very few of the immigrants are criminals.

No wall!

Salute,

Tony V.

"Legal immigrants" and "illegal immigrants" are two different things.

Chef Boyardee Ravioli

I was surprised when I found out that Chef Boyardee was a real person, an actual famous chef.  Ettiore Boiardi even catered Woodrow Wilson's wedding.  Apparently was one of the early factors in making Italian food widespread in America instead of just niche ethnic food.

More police corruption in a white cop's shooting a black man.

https://newsone.com/3827160/amber-guyger-apartment-search-warrant-dallas/

FIVE search warrants issued, none of the for Officer Guyger's apartment.

None.

Now she's moved out.

But her memes tell a story of their own.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/18/politics/ford-letter-fbi/index.html

Quote
In a letter addressed to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa, and obtained by CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360," Christine Blasey Ford's attorneys argue that "a full investigation by law enforcement officials will ensure that the crucial facts and witnesses in this matter are assessed in a non-partisan manner, and that the Committee is fully informed before conducting any hearing or making any decisions."

The letter from Ford's lawyers notes that despite receiving a "stunning amount of support from her community," Ford has also "been the target of vicious harassment and even death threats" and has been forced to leave her home.

"We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you and Ranking Member Feinstein to discuss reasonable steps as to how Dr. Ford can cooperate while also taking care of her own health and security," the letter from Ford's lawyers said.

"What we're saying is there should be an investigation because that's the right thing to do," Ford's attorney Lisa Banks told Cooper.

Granting Kiid's and Red's GOP talking points that there would be nothing for the FBI to find, just for the sake of the discussion, what would the loss be were the FBI allowed to actually do the investigation?

What's the risk?

Only one, for the GOP: That they find something.

And that is what the GOP and President Trump fear.

Tail light's out - lets look for drugs

Sort of like that, right?

Lo siento - no circo

Figures you cannot tell the difference between illegal search and siezure vs. an accusation of a crime from a respected member of the community against another respected member of the community and concommitant investigation from that.

But yes, for those carrying contraband, exactly like that.

Your besmirching the FBI and suggesting that they would fabricate evidence against Kavanaugh shows just how far you and your party have strayed from their Law and Order roots.

Yeah, everybody's against you, so better prevent an investigation.

No wonder you think Mueller should be stopped!

Who said anything about fabrication?

But I would put forth that those using the phrase "let's let an unbiased investigation occur" may be stepping in mud.

Lo siento- no circo.

By the way - you lose credibility when you invent things.

I haven't commented on Mueller's investigation continuing or concluding.

Chances of confirmation of Kavanaugh are "high"

- Michael Steel, Morning Joe

The show's panel also today laid into Ms Ford a little for her "I want an FBI investigation" demand pre-testimony.

Another misguided "look at me" analyst (some chickee Nelson on MS) uses the R word regarding the alleged Kavanaugh-Ford incident

Just irresponsible reporting.

Thankfully she was just smacked down by another guest.  "This was not an attempted rape.  There was no penetration.  There was no accusation of this"

Now a third guest comes in and again uses "attempted rape".

"This was not an attempted rape.  There was no penetration.  There was no accusation of this"

kiidcarter8, after backtracking when shown that he doesn't understand the meaning of the word "attempted" now quotes someone else who has a similar problem with the definition.

How would you judge what is attempted sexual assault and what is attempted rape?

https://nypost.com/2018/09/18/stormy-says-trump-offered-to-help-her-cheat-on-the-apprentice/

Stormy describes Trump and compares his putz to a cartoon character.

I think the Post missed the headline here. Should've been, "Trump's Stump Leads to Bad Hump".

Writing about her alleged tryst with the future president, Daniels says it “may have been the least impressive sex” she’d ever had.

In a blow to his manhood, she describes his genitals in lurid detail, saying his penis is “smaller than average,” but “not freakishly small.”

“He knows he has an unusual penis,” Daniels claims. “It has a huge mushroom head. Like a toadstool…

“I lay there, annoyed that I was getting f–ked by a guy with Yeti pubes and a d–k like the mushroom character in Mario Kart,” she adds in a description of his junk that lit up social media, where users assumed she was referring to Princess Toadstool’s trusty servant Toad.

Some youthful indiscretions lead to a life of wealth and power, some lead to a lack of citizenship rights...
