The pandemic will have 5 stages. We're at stage 2.

Any future funding can only occur if nation wide mail in paper ballots that can be physically reviewed are mandated and instituted for the 2020 elections first or along side the bill.

Partial good news, still small group.

Hopefully one of the improvers was the kid lacrosse talent from Jersey.  I haven't seen an update on him.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/11/us/nyc-schools-closed-trnd/index.html

Mayor DeBlasio announces that after consultation, NYC schools will remain closed through the rest of the academic year. Also, any kid requesting a computer will have it by the end of the month. (NOT Amazon!)

Governor Cuomo responds that that's just DeBlasio's opinion and that no decisions have been made yet about school closures' continuing.

I'm unclear on how the "digital divide" is bridged by just handing out laptops.  Do the children of poor families that need laptops to Zoom conference with teachers, or whatever platform is used,  have broadband access at home?   If not,  where do they access the Net if libraries and community centers are closed?

Broadband access has already been expanded, free, to anybody who has requested it in NYC among other places.

Thanks,  that's good to hear.   I hope that can happen here.   Schools closed for the remainder of year,  here,  statewide.  Will be some hurdles for remote rural kids and Reservation kids.

Kid,  if you're going to post umpteen times a day on a national politics board,  you could part with the,  what,  $4 a month it requires to get basic WaPo?

KC,  I think you can join Muck Rack for free and access Petri's columns there...

It still goes to the WaPo site.

Inferring what I can from the title, Kiid doesn’t want to know what it actually has to say.

If we’re in phase 2, how much worse can an administration full of stupid make phases 3, 4, and 5?

Line item in my checking account this morning.
US Treasury Dept.- Covid-19(CORVIR) Stimulus   +$1200

You must have more need than I do.
The “ need” factor is a priority for sending out checks.

So, at some point Ward deleted the initial post that claimed he had that line item in his checking account, as if that somehow would mean he had not lied.

How like this president are he and Kid? It's amazing both how often they lie and how badly they do it.
