Obama is a private citizen with full political rights (except running for president again). if he sees the country taking a dangerous turn, or a tremendously unqualified leader directing us towards doom, he should speak up.
The GOP doesn't play paddy-cake. They stole a Supreme Court seat form Obama and the Dems. They intentionally rack up deficits on tax cuts for the rich so there's no money to help average folks. Then they use racism to prevent class solidarity and keep poor white folk from voting for their economic interests.
The Desm should do what they legally can to keep these anti-gov't jackals away form gov't power. And if that means an ex-Pres campaigning for his former Veep, well, your delicate sensibilities will just have to be crushed.
Gore blew it by not embracing Clinton and talking up Clinton achievements, and trotting out Bill once or twice. Hopefully Bidne wont make the same mistake. Compared to Trump, Obama looks like George Washington crossed with Martin Luther King. Use it.
At least Biden kept mentioning O during the Dem primary. Keep it up. Bring Michelle in at a strategic point. And then save Obama for a key moment. As the GOP has made abundantly clear. Winning is everything extremely important. And elections have consequences.
Elections Have Consequences should be Biden's campaign motto.
And show commercials of Trump saying the virus will just fade away like a miracle in April and other inane downplaying bullshit, with clips of ambulances and full PPE medical workers, and numbers of infected and dead.
Screen goes black and at the end :
ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES
Vote Biden / Harris.
