Tara Reade has certainly had a lot of disputes and brought a lot of allegations in her time.

It was an Op.

There’ll be more. Junior is accusing Biden of being a pedophile.

“FoxNews is doing nothing to help Republicans, and me, get re-elected on November 3rd” -- Donald Trump

Unbelievable on many levels.

And totally believable on so many others.

Henry Ford was a bigot. So was Harry Truman
Ford created a automobile assembly line that built the Model T.   His thousands of employees( Jews included) made top wages in the industry and the car was the first to be mass produced and affordable to the rising middle class. Ford also spawned the Ford Foundation whose philanthropy supports causes like the Arts and social diversity.
Truman, known for referring to Jews as “kikes” ,or worse, was the first world country leader to recognize the provisional Jewish government as de facto authority of the Jewish state, Israel.

Never mind all that

Yeah, because the issue here is obviously that I have not sufficiently acknowledged Ford's accomplishments as an industrialist, and not that the man elected to be President of the United States of America used the language of Aryan Supremacy to praise America's greatest Nazi.

And in other news, your "president" praised the "good bloodlines" of the notorious anti-Semite Henry Ford during his speech at the auto-maker.

Rightly, people are calling for an apology, but what is the point?  You apologize for something said in the heat of the moment, or when the imprecisions of speech lead people to misunderstand the intent.  But this isn't that.  It is a window into the brain of Donald Trump, and how he measures the value of human beings.

Oh, but his son-in-law is Jewish…

Levels of bigotry require some consideration, Ward.

Ford actively promoted The Protocols of the Elders of Zion and published anti-Jewish screed.

Truman didn't like them.

Tara Reade has certainly had a lot of disputes and brought a lot of allegations in her time.

Much of her life follows a too common pattern for child abuse victims, including repeated subsequent abusive relationships.

The poverty and difficulty managing things sounds like a pretty common issue concomitant with PTSD, if not (probably undiagnosed and certainly untreated) ADHD.

None of this is evidence that her accusation against Biden now is untrue, but having yet another person who corroborated the earlier version of her story now change to align with the later version, as her brother did, does not help her. And her claim that she is not deceitful or manipulative looks pretty suspect as one looks at her behavior with the horse rescue business. That makes her seem opportunist. Similarly, the claim to have graduated from and then taught for Antioch Law, while they have no records of it and she no evidence, undermines her credibility further.

Lots of claims to have been more, better, loftier than others' memories of events or evident facts support.

The persistent failure of any supporting evidence for so many of her claims, whether harassment or degree/employment is a serious problem. And the facts of abuse against her that were supported by police and court statements don't make this accusation of abuse more credible.

Two interesting pieces on Sweden, not current but historical, on the 1918 Influenza:

https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2018/aug/29/how-spanish-influenza-helped-create-sweden-modern-welfare-state-ostersund

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3896897/ from 2014
The Spanish flu in Uppsala, clinical and epidemiological impact of the influenza pandemic 1918–1919 on a Swedish county
Quote
The Spanish flu reached Sweden in June 1918, and at least one-third of the population (then 5.8 million) became infected. Some 34,500 persons (5.9 per 1,000 people) died from influenza during the first year of the pandemic (when acute pneumonia is included, the number of deaths rose to 7.1 per 1,000 people).

The USA used to employ people faster than they could arrive here, they used to bring ships full of workers to work because there was a shortage of workers here, and Henry Ford hired the new immigrants as soon as they got to the USA.

Instead of building a wall, we need to create jobs and we need to put our new immigrants to work. And there are plenty of jobs for which the workers do not need extensive training, such as jobs planting orange trees, and planting grape vineyards, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

Like his Wharton degree that he promoted so hard for so long.

Or how he was a self-made man, starting only with a million dollars!

Or how hard he works in the White House - where, were it not for the pandemic, he would still be blowing through millions of tax payer dollars while going golfing (after vowing he would not be doing so).

Of course, Kid won't see this, because he hates being called out.

Yep.  All his kids are highly educated, as Trump was.  And all but Baron exhibit a commendable work ethic.  No riding on the bucks... Entitlement but with duty.

Or like he doesn't want the immigrants from "Shithole Countries" in the US even though they have higher levels of educational attainment and employment than the natives.
