Matt Goetz calls for extrajudicial killing of American citizens on American soil:

You'll have to click on it once you get to the tweet because Twitter has acknowledged that it violates their policy against glorifying violence.

Larry and Bank -

This back and forth is going nowhere.

You're not going to change each other's minds.

Can you both please just stop?

I logged on to specifically request same.   What the hell is the problem with using PM for such disputes?

I was done with this yesterday.

Larry seems to need to relitigate arguments from years past.

No - you just said you were

This is the "triumphant" video that the White House turned out in a few hours of Trump's walk to the church, his waving the bible somebody handed him (assuming that is what it was), and then walking back, including pumping his fist as he walked past some National Guard folks.

There are some people who will eat it up. I imagine Kid is one of those and Bambi another. Ward will pretend to not disapprove.

But... for most of the country, it just reinforces how tone deaf he and his team are to what they'd just done.

Symbolism of the trek is lost on you weak sorts.
Symbolism is what something is taken to mean. That Trump had militarized police clear peaceful protestors from a public park for a photo op is symbolism lost on you, and all who mistake militarism for strength. For my part Trump having the park cleared of peaceful protestors so he can hold up a bible he does not follow in front of a church he did not.enter sickened me as much as anything he.has done, including multiple instances of groping and dry humping the flag like it was an underaged beauty pageant contestant.

I think walking among the protesters would have been better - and fine with Trump - but Secret Service would never allow it.

What whiskey said.

Trump is 99.99% cynical.

And the propa and the gaslighting crescendo....

Bank, you are my friend but your lack of self awareness is jaw dropping.

You are only done with people if they let you have the last word.

Absurdity squared.   Trump would only walk among protestors if he could use them as human shields against assassins.

kid I tend to respond directly to those who address me, so in keeping with that philosophy, I responded to knicks various posts addressed to me.

At some point, when the subject was thoroughly played out, I suggested to him he get over it.

As we've seen today, he unfortunately has not.

As I've nothing further to add, and keeping forum decorum in mind, I will do my best to ignore any further inflammatory posts on this particular subject.

However I reserve the right to change my mind.

I hope we are clear on that.

Not going for a mere photo op would have been a better idea. Or going for some legitimate reason. Going over there to meet with the pastor or bishop and discuss the protests and the damages to the church instead of using the church and Bible as props for a cynical photo op would have been better. Meeting with the organizers of the peaceful protests at that church would have been a better idea. Heading back to cower in his bunker would have been better.

Boz-I do enjoy a good debate and generally I've found that delivering a solid well articulated fact-based final argument usually ends the debate in question.

This is a good time to bury hatchets.   We all (well most of us) have common cause and at this juncture should provide mutual support on message boards.   PM is a good system for spats.   Pretty sure nobody but the two parties gives a flying fuck.

I laughed at you at the time.  Because like Whisk, I know your boring act.

Bank don't wanna PM - he thinks he is showing the entire lot of us how fucking brilliant he is.

I had to warn the Knicks board about him ahead of time

You say that like it's a "meta" comment on the argument,  but you're actually still continuing the argument.   I mean,  everyone here likes good debate.   The format self-selects for that trait,  bro.
