What Georgia law says

Georgia law allows a person to use deadly force "only if he or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent death or great bodily injury to himself or herself or a third person."
In addition, the Atlanta Police policy manual, which was most recently updated last week, says that an officer can use deadly force when "He or she reasonably believes that the suspect possesses a deadly weapon or any object, device, or instrument which, when used offensively against a person is likely to or actually does result in serious bodily injury and when he or she reasonably believes that the suspect poses an immediate threat of serious bodily injury to the officer or others."

Gee, that looks familiar. You would think that I posted it previously.

As the DA noted, Rolfe was not actually at risk of great bodily injury or death. Nor was anybody else. Brooks was too drunk to handle the Taser.

As you would say, thank you for playing.

Have an hour to spare?

"Has the American Dream been Achieved at the Expense of the American Negro?"

This is a debate between James Baldwin and William F. Buckley.

The opposite of lockdown is 'herd immunity'.
Protect the most vulnerable, and everyone else carries on with life as normal.
"96% of covid-19 cases will be mild".
"The herd gets the virus, recovers, and becomes immune."...Sweden went with that.
Just have to suffer all the deaths, and the damaged.

Sweden went with that and concluded (a) herd immunity wasn't happening and (b) they did the wrong thing.

If 4% of our country died from something, that would be 13.2 million people that you are so cavalierly killing off.

Do you ever get tired of being so terribly wrong?

I didn't say you should do it.
I said Sweden tried it.
US should do what Australia did...but I can't see how that's possible when everyone won't/can't do lockdowns and social distancing.
It also involves paying every employer who's lost 30% or more of their income $1,500 per FN for every employee, by the federal govt...called "jobkeeper".
Also "jobseeker" payment of $1,100 per FN to every unemployed person...unemployment now into double figures.

Maybe they didn't get the "Say NO to drugs" memo.

No one wants to explain it to you and, since you are very unlikely to every leave your bunker, there isn’t any point.

Red knows that when you are a deplorable son of a bitch you always perceive danger, even when you are blackout drunk.

We all understand it is an offshoot of the guilt built up for living wrong in the face of all evidence.
