#MeToo: Here's what women say they would do 'if men had a 9pm curfew'

Midnight running with both earphones in, anyone?

Ashitha Nagesh

4 October 2018

Don’t walk home alone after dark, avoid dimly lit streets, carry your keys in your hand, don’t open your front door to strangers…
These are the rules many women around the world unconsciously adhere to out of fear of what might happen if they don’t.

#####

Gee, they're the rules that I, a man, conscientiously adhere to...and should be the rules of every person.

Now, a year on, US-based activist Danielle Muscato has reflected on #MeToo by posing a hypothetical question to women on Twitter: “What would you do if all men had a 9pm curfew?”
Some women said they'd do something adventurous - like going for an evening stroll.

#####

Ahem, female mugging gangs!

Some would squeeze in exercise.
Or watch the moon reflected in the sea.
And even explore woodland after dark.

#####

Watch out for bears...and more to the point, ...deep holes, cliffs and other things to come to grief on.

Here’s hoping women are able to walk the streets totally fearlessly one day - without the need for a curfew, of course - because strolling through forests at night time sounds pretty amazing.

#####

Sounds like a very dumb idea to me.

Snakes, spiders, wild dogs/wolves, big cats, ...and getting lost.
Men wouldn't be able to come to the rescue...they wouldn't be allowed out after 9pm.

Simple.  Vote against Kav.  Get Flake or Collins of Murk on board.
Trump will still get a nom, just someone who belongs on the S Ct.

Really a good outcome for the GOP is to have Sasse and Flake vote against Kav in this procedural straw vote.  McConnell and Trump realize the votes aren't here and withdraws his nom.
GOP gets to mollify the national #metoo mood and reassure women.
Collins and Murkowski don't have to make a tough vote.

Trump noms a female judge.
Good outcome for all.

You will flame the new nominee as well

Just like we did Gorsuch.

Your foolishness knows no bounds.

I'm really surprised that Flake won't take a bullet for the party. The best way the R's have out of this is if BK gets flame broiled. By the women in the party (of which Flake is considered to be one) and then the rest of them can say "Too bad, so sad" NEXT!
Just to be clear.
If Flake was going to take a “ bullet” he needed somebody to support Ford’s  story.
Instead there was no one who could.

No, he didn't.

And yes, there was.

But Deborah Ramirez's tale was both credible and came with ample support.

And regardless of either of them, he both committed perjury and demonstrated a lack of judicial temperament, or as he put it, he spoke in ways he should not have.

Had a Democratic nominee had half the issues Kavanaugh did, you would be frothing at the mouth at the notion that they might seat him.

Not that Redd will care.

Not that Kiid will care.

Not that the GOP Senators will care.

But the truth, as they say, is out there. And that the GOP and President Trump are walking around with hands over their eyes and ears doesn't change it.

And Redd, the perjury has been explained to you repeatedly.

Short form:
Lies about his knowledge concerning Democratic Party documents concerning prior judicial nominees.

Lies about his yearbook and his lifelong "respect" for women. Ralphing is a key example.

Lies about his drinking habits in high school and college.

Lies about the Deborah Ramirez incident.

Lies about when he knew about allegations by Deborah Ramirez.

He will be from the federalist’s List, he will suck, and we should.

I am laughing, because you are so predictable.

You cannot accept the truth so you deny it as surely as when you make a grammar or spelling mistake.

You are a joke. You cannot explain why those were not perjury because they were, so you don't even try. You just deny.

Kind of like Bart O'Kavenaugh, now that you mention it!
