It's pretty funny.   His best hope is to poach some overzealous prosecutor of truancy critiques from the Left and pretend again he's joined the Left in caring about single parents of truant children.

Well, it worked for them 4 years ago: excite your base,.depress Democratic turnout. Thus, attacks that.range between racist dog whistles and racist fog horns and barely concealed sexism for Trumpettes, questioning her racial identity and stressing her prosecutorial record to depress enthusiasm of minorities. Trump needs African American voting to stay around 60% to win, and any little chip into that block helps - regardless of internal logic or consistency.

I think Trump is going to lose a lot of ground among the “suburban housewives.”

Israel and UAE will normalize relations, in exchange Israel will suspend its annexation of chunks of the WB.  For how long is unclear, but I figured Netanyahu would hold off any annexation until after the election, as a favor to Trump.

I was meaning to write the other day that despite Israel being hardline on the Palestinians, this is mostly an era of fairly widespread acceptance for Israel, as Israel does quiet deals with the Saudis and Turks among others.  Basically Israel's strong anti-Iran policy has aligned it with the Sunni anti-Iran/anti-Shiite coalition.

If we equip the USPS to do their jobs, they will be able to handle mail-in voting, so better to block them from doing their job as well.

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he opposes much-needed funding for the United States Postal Service because he doesn't want to see it used for mail-in voting this November.

By directly linking USPS funding to mail-in voting, Trump is fueling allegations that he is trying to manipulate the postal system for political gain. The pandemic has led to record-shattering levels of voting-by-mail, but Trump has tried to restrict the voting method because he says it will hurt his re-election and Republicans across the board.

During an interview on Fox News, Trump said that if USPS does not receive the additional $25 billion funding request that Democrats included in the ongoing stimulus negotiations, then he believes the Post Office won't be able to handle the influx of mail-in ballots in the upcoming election.

"They want three and a half billion dollars for something that'll turn out to be fraudulent, that's election money basically. They want three and a half billion dollars for the mail-in votes. Universal mail-in ballots. They want $25 billion, billion, for the Post Office. Now they need that money in order to make the Post Office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots," Trump said, repeating his false claims that mail-in voting would be "fraudulent."

"But if they don't get those two items that means you can't have universal mail-in voting because you they're not equipped to have it," Trump added.

Meanwhile fucl all the folks who depend on USPS for timely delivery of prescription medications in a time of pandemic.

The REAL reason the GOP has been on a mission for to destroy the USPS for decade is post WWII black people used the post office and federal government jobs as a ladder to the middle class.

We need to get the word out:  flatten the mail ballot sorting curve,  vote early.   If there's no last minute glut of mailed ballots,  then the postal service should be able to keep up.   Unless the postmaster finds some other wrench to toss in there.
