So, Kid's fine with the numbers so far.

Yes.  Its very close to or the same as if none of the 460000 went anywhere.

Just like with college students at many locales.

So far, wrt Sturgis. Early yet, and with a population famous for not going to docs when they need to. The jury, as they say, is still out.

"at many locales" is a convenient mealy-mouthed expression.

I received a message from her and the dnc in 2018 asking me to give funds to free the babies in cages. Immediate turn off. Mainstream America did not buy in. Why would  anyone want an influx of cheap labor, drug dealers, and low priced nannies. How does bringing in millions of Latin Americans and breaking the laws help diversity? Biden seems bright enough to avoid that mess. You are not so deplorable!

Trump makes bankruptcy hit even harder and faster than Bush.

The republicans are already the lawless party of destitution and disease.

Given the chance, republicans are ready to add famine and civil war to their regrettable list of achievements.

Yeah!

Leave those kids in cages - it's the only humanitarian thing to do.

AMERICA FIRST!

You know, Luee, sometimes you sound decidedly like Trump.

I'd go with Liz Warren.  I think she's fantastic.
A Hillary-Trump rematch would be good.

Or in a grand gesture ... Michelle Obama.
An Obama-Harris ticket would be ridiculously historic, and Trump would probably win against an all-Black female ticket.

I’m not sure Obama would want any part of that.

This is where we are; the law-and-order "president" has called for his supporters to commit felonies on his behalf and it gets one mention on the forum because, you know, Trump.

 IMPEACH FORTY-FIVE!!!!

Been there, done that. Republican Senators are going to answer for their failure to protect America from this criminally insane President.

"Of course we know there is still going to be more of this disease — this wretched COVID — still to come," Johnson said during a meeting of his Cabinet, with all ministers attending in person for the first time since the U.K. went into a coronavirus lockdown in March.

"Although we know there will be more outbreaks, we are absolutely confident that we are going to be able to deal with those outbreaks, and bit by bit this incredible country is getting back on its feet"

Well said, Boris Johnson

Same goes for US, including at colleges.

So, should Biden lose, do you think it's time you guys get rid of Pelosi?

Holy smokes!

Nah.

She’s probably the most effective Speaker in modern times.

I think Pelosi has done a terrific job.

Except for her trip to the hairdresser...

which is window dressing, a focus for Kid and the GOP because they have nothing of positive substance to talk about other than the stock market and that news is no longer providing the big positive boost they want and need.

The hairdresser.

Sheesh.

This stinks of O’Keefe.

Stay at home orders worked.

Lifting the orders, even a little, uncorked an outflow of people.

Not gonna argue with you that Malomar wasn't a killer, a scoundrel, a [fill-in-the-blank]

Cause he was. Period. But.....that ain't the point. There's been a gazillion of those guys. Most of 'em we supported at one time or another.

At the time of his Clinton-led overthrow, he was basically a semi-reformed run-of-the-mill dictator with a fully-functioning country.

As usual, U.S. intervention absolutely catastrophic, for Libya's people and the consequences outside of Libya.

Completely wrong.  Qaddafi was the worst terrorist, progenitor of nasty wars and ugly coups, and ruiners of peaceful societies out there.  Bar none.  The horrors he fomented, supported and inflicted on Sierra Leone and Liberia were legendary atrocities.  Not to mention the brutal coups and dictatorships he foisted upon Chad, CAR and Burkina Faso.  Propping up Mugabe for an extra decade and a half, until that country was ruined.  Congo, etc.

Qaddafi was completely unreformed and far from an ordinary dictator.  He just mostly stopped attacking the West after Lockerbie and the Germany bombings, as the US credibly threatened to kill him.  So he shifted his attention to ruining 100M lives and over a half dozen countries throughout Africa.  No other dictator has done that and caused such suffering (let alone a gazillion).  You come off as a total Qaddafi apologist.  "A scoundrel", jeez.  African lives matter.   But glad the Green Book amuses you.

Yeah, the 7M Libyans haven't made out well.  But installing a gov't after his death shouldn't have been that hard if the US hadn't abdicated involvement.  Secure the oil wells and dole out riches to buy off and incorporate the militias, etc.

President Trump on Thursday sought to clarify remarks in which he suggested voting twice, saying in tweets that he was instead urging those who vote by mail to follow up at their polling place to make sure their mail-in ballots have been counted.

During a trip to North Carolina on Wednesday, Trump suggested that those who vote by mail “then go and vote” in person as well. Intentionally voting twice is illegal, and in many states, including North Carolina, it is a felony.

“Based on the massive number of Unsolicited & Solicited Ballots that will be sent to potential Voters for the upcoming 2020 Election, & in order for you to MAKE SURE YOUR VOTE COUNTS & IS COUNTED, SIGN & MAIL IN your Ballot as EARLY as possible,” Trump tweeted Thursday. “On Election Day, or Early Voting, go to your Polling Place to see whether or not your Mail In Vote has been Tabulated (Counted). If it has you will not be able to Vote & the Mail In System worked properly. If it has not been Counted, VOTE (which is a citizen’s right to do).”

(More from the report....)

Trump’s comments Wednesday generated enough confusion that the N.C. Board of Elections issued a statement saying that it is a Class 1 felony to intentionally vote twice. The board also noted that it is illegal to solicit someone to vote twice.

In a statement, Karen Brinson Bell, executive director of the board, also discouraged voters from coming to the polls on Election Day to verify that their mail-in ballots had been counted.

“The State Board office strongly discourages people from showing up at the polls on Election Day to check whether their absentee ballot was counted,” Bell said. “This is not necessary, and it would lead to longer lines and the possibility of spreading COVID-19."

Uh, yeah.  Why exactly would someone vote by mail, only to then wait in lines on election day and risk COVID exposure anyway, just to check that their mail-in ballot got counted?  Not even Trump is that stupid.

His statement was as clear as any word salad that comes out of his mouth.  Vote twice, and if the system works as well as they say, then the double vote will be counted only once.  If not, well...

The plan is to sow confusion, create as much doubts and confusion as possible, so that when he loses due to mail-in ballot counts he can claim they are shady and invalid.  Which, huh, this is strange, but Russia is trying to do the exact same thing.  Fancy that.
