Trump - to the lead

Led by the nose.

I'd hate to burst the self-imposed bubble you've been jerking off in, but I seem to remember Rasmussen predicting the final Gen Election tally within 1% in 2016 while every other major pollster was WAAAAY off.

The Chinese government intentionally manufactured and released the COVID-19 virus that led to mass shutdowns and deaths across the world, a top virologist and whistleblower told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday.

Her revelations fueled ongoing complaints that the Chinese government failed to tell the world early on about the virus' threat. Specifically, she believes the Chinese government ignored research that could have saved lives. The State Department did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

I was just going to post this...

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/sep/16/holocaust-us-adults-study

How can this be?

In 1964 the History of Western Civilization course had been required in virtually every American university, but the requirement had almost vanished by 2010. Some universities kept the course for students to take voluntarily — but increasing numbers replaced it entirely with a World Civilization course. Three times as many students take the College Board’s World History Advanced Placement examination as take European History. Our students never have the chance to learn about the sequence linking Athens and Jerusalem to America, the continuous history from Plato to NATO.

Bullshit.

Just pulling this out my ass but when testing scores became the primary way of ranking education efficacy it forced educators to teach to the tests in order to satisfy the bean counters.

“BLM Protesters horribly harass elderly Pittsburgh diners, scaring them with loud taunts while taking their food right off their plate,” the president wrote.

“These Anarchists, not protesters, are Biden voters, but he has no control and nothing to say. Disgraceful. Never seen anything like it. Thugs!

Once again Donald Trump in talking to American Jews implies that their true nationality is Israeli:

Not even getting into his electioneering as part of his official duties, which is a line this administration crossed a long time ago.

Up playing a virus means causing it to spread and kill tens of thousands of people you have a sworn responsibility to protect. By this definition trump is still up playing the virus. The number of murders he has culpability for goes up by the hundreds every day.

Aside from all the Left scapegoating that's the rest of that article,  I agree that history and civics have been neglected from primary grades on.

If you erase all the mistakes of the past
you also erase the wisdom of the present
Remember the lesson,
not the disappointment
The entire scope of the traditional teaching of US history in this country has completely ignored this idea. And continues to do so: witness Trump's brazen attempt to defund the 1619 movement, and the response of people like Trump to attempts to counter the malign influence of the Lost Cause mythology. Or roughly anyone to attempts to remove the white washing of.American historical figures.

Though I suspect RedStateJimm is more interested in the removal of Confederate statues, despite those removals being done to change who we honor, not erase history.

Just watched footage of all the flooding down on the Gulf....must be more Fake news because
our resident idiot here, JimRedStain Wart,  ridiculed the weather reports earlier this summer predicting a very busy hurricane season.

(Just another timely reminder to all here....JimRedStainWart was WRONG, as usual, again.)

GymStainWard has two settings objectionably wrong and incomprehensible.
