Somehow I think any mention of a “ living Constitution” is off the table in this argument.
But I could be wrong.

You're free to make that argument.

You're free to make that argument.
It’s not mine to make. The Constitution had  already given that job to Congress.
Remember Harry Reid in 1993?

If making it easy to be an illegal alien isn't enough, how about offering a reward for being an illegal immigrant? No sane country would do that, right?" Reid said. "Guess again. If you break our laws by entering this country without permission and give birth to a child, we reward that child with U.S. citizenship and guarantee a full access to all public and social services this society provides. And that's a lot of services."

He continued: "Is it any wonder that two-thirds of the babies born at taxpayer expense at country-run hospitals in Los Angeles are born to illegal alien mothers?"

Okay. So you agree with Harry Reid. What can I say.Fear and bigotry makes strange bedfellows.

But as you continually remind us, there's a clear way to amend the Constitution.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/russians-flock-to-trump-properties-to-give-birth-to-us-citizens

Like I said, it is not "undocumented aliens" who are here having babies to gain US citizens in their families, but pregnant tourists here legally to intentionally bear children - in this article, Russians going to Trump's properties, but they are not the only ones. A certain group of East Asiands do, as well.

Seems to me there are two issues and Red is conflating them,

1) Trump's ability to change the constitution by penstroke

2) a debate about whether citizenship eligibility as defined by the constituion should be amended.

And i wonder how Red might have reacted if our first Kenyan president picked up a pen to EO changes in, oh I don't know, the 2nd amendment.

We are not going to let Trump change our Constitution. It is not going to happen.

Trump needs to focus on renegotiating our trade deals, he is a business man, he can fix our trade deals, until we can elect a new President in 2020.

You do understand that he's a bad businessman, don't you?

That he has stiffed contractors and businesses that worked with him regularly?

And that his renegotiated the trade deals such that they look the same, but have a new name?

As a likely multiple felon, I’m not sure Red has any voting rights himself or that his ill formed opinions matter on anything. He doesn’t appear to have finished high school or ever to have read a book.
