You really have to wonder how a party that brings us W Bush and Trump manages to continue to exist and have supporters.  Hopefully Biden understands that it's time to take the gloves off and reverse course drastically.  Bare-knuckle time or get flattened like usual.

Opposite.
Biden is ahead because he is a nice guy.
Stay the course - get run over - and still become 46.  This is the plan.
If Joe starts punching, all sorts of wild things will come out of that mouche.

Maybe I wasn't clear.
I meant that President Biden would need to be a fighter and not get Obama-ed by the GOP, getting run over while visions of bipartisanship play in his head.

I'm quite fine with Biden being a mushy happy warrior against Trump.  I'd have him duck the last debate.  Let Trump keep shooting himself in the bone spurs, but stay away from any ricocheting bullets ... Run out the clock.

The appropriate approach is to treat the republican party as a criminal organization tied to terrorism and human trafficking. Go after it’s money and sources of funding. Expose and prosecute it’s behind the scenes power players and shut down its orbit of criminal ventures.

Whatever republican is at liberty after that can organize a rump of support and organize a slate of candidates. Maybe they’ll even bother to take the time to come up with a platform.

Republicanism as a form of politics and policy is dead. It, like so much of America, has died of trumpism over the course of 2020.

Also interesting that tomorrow's town halls run 2 hours for Joe and just 1 for DT.

NBC employees super pissed that their bosses gave Trump the time at all - and especially that it runs at the same time as Uncle Joe.

It was dumb, both from a ratings perspective and from a "serving America" perspective.

Gallup poll

56% of Americans polled think they are in better shape than 4 years ago

I am!

So what? There’s 215000 people dead and my granddaughter turned 13 on Zoom.

It wasn’t just Obama he had to deal with the Senate Democrats who insisted watering down the ACA to get promised GOP support.

Joe Lieberman killed the public option and then got clowned who didn’t give the bill a single vote.
Then progressives ‘punished’’ Obama in the 2010 midterms and let the GOP recapture the House.
Of course the loss was attributabled to low black turnout.

The party of "Law and Order" strikes again:

https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/14/politics/california-republicans-ballot-drop-boxes-cease-and-desist/index.html

They won't heed the state's order for them to stop with the unofficial drop boxes that the GOP calls official.

China has stopped placing orders for Australian coal.

Time for retaliation by Australia.

Hardly likely though...all we get from the federal parliament on both sides etc are platitudes and excuses.

What to do with all that coal  ... $60billion pa of it ?
Gotta survive...looks like it's coal fired power stations and steam cars.

There’s no future in exporting coal. That business is going the way of the Dodo and trump’s hopes of a second term.

There is if you basically dig stuff up and sell it to get money to live on.
Iron ore will be next, you watch.
Australia should be using the coal and iron ore to make its own steel.
Should be building steam cars to save importing oil.

Think a lot of Democratic voters are putting ballots in those? I suppose the state will inform those that they find used this shenanigan to submit their ballot that those ballots may have been subject to illegal tampering. The voters will have the chance to vote early or collect another ballot from the county office and either drop it off or mail it in. The cease and desist goes into effect tomorrow.

We’re very dramatic and performative out here, even the racist crackers in the teeny weeny republican party. There’s an idiot radio host who likes to cause traffic jams around gas stations by telling his listeners that if they show up at a certain time, he’ll reimburse them what they pay in gas tax to fill up. He takes a bunch of pictures and try’s to attract local news coverage, pays a couple of bucks to the first ten people in line (who wait hours for the privilege). Then he fucks off leaving the rest in the lurch. His listeners are republican and tend toward meth, so in a few months they forget  the stunt and he does it all over again.

This is what the future of the republican party can look like nationally if we work the turnout for Democrats all across the country up and down the ticket.

Slight improvement over your last plan. There’s a market for iron and steel and probably will be for some time.

Yep, the Dems traditionally undermine their own president.
Obama was a rock star with high approval and a handful of Dem senators undercut the ACA.  When will they learn to rally behind their Prez to keep WH power and use it effectively.  Most of their wish list will get done if they just get on board with the Dem presidents's key proposals.

Look at the GOP, they line up for a Bush war or all sorts of stupid Trump ish (like stealth herd immunity.  They fall in line.  One thing about the GOP they focus on just a few issues and push and push and push on those.  Tax cuts (for the wealthy and businesses), no abortion, more gun rights, pro-business.  And then when they get power, everybody knows how they will use it.   And everybody falls in line.

Even Trump who was a party outsider and has lots of stupid ideas, they all fall in line with.  Also Trump makes it clear that he'll make it difficult for any GOPer who opposes him through twitter ridicule, calling them out in public, running a primary challenger.

The Dems need to get their shit together.  Maybe missing out on 3 Supreme Court seats will wake them up and get them in line.  But it's easy to imagine Manchin and others defying Biden.

Heard this before with HRC, secret emails just before the election. Trump has got to go!
