Using Covid to disenfranchise voters?

https://www.npr.org/2020/10/29/928315049/polling-places-are-closing-due-to-covid-19-it-could-tip-races-in-1-swing-state

Could be.
Yes.
The worry is down ballot races in Iowa,  where stifling even a couple thousand votes in blue/minority precincts will make a difference.   In the POTUS race,  it only has six electoral votes,  so not as much concern.   They need a full court press on early voting now, though, for the sake of down ballot races.   This is all still the ugly hand of Shelby v Holder.   Before the 2013 decision,  the feds could have maintained stricter requirements for adequate polling locations, where it would impact specific classes of voters.

IBD is +6 (5.5).

It's 4.7

https://www.investors.com/politics/biden-vs-trump-ibd-tipp-presidential-election-tracking-poll-2020/

That's the 4-way which has its own grid, Kid.

In the 2-way, it's 5.5:
Quote
In a head-to-head Trump vs. Biden poll, the Democratic nominee leads by 5.5 points, 50.3%-44.8%, up from 5 points a day earlier.

Try again.

..I have been linking to and referring to 4-way the entire time

Sorry for your confusion

The French Foreign Legion needs to start doing television commercials in Mexico, Colombia, the Philippines, Venezuela, and in El Salvador, etc, to recruit more Roman Catholics to serve in the French Foreign Legion, and they need to have elite special forces, etc, they need to be trained well, and they need to have top of the line equipment, etc.

“I invite Joe Biden to expend his limited campaign travel on states he's not going to win in 2020,” Trump Campaign Manager Bill Stepien told reporters on a conference call this week.

Interesting

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Puerto Rico’s Health Department unveiled a safe sex campaign Tuesday recommending masturbation as a way to avoid becoming infected with the coronavirus, but scrapped the whole thing within hours under heavy criticism from the U.S. territory’s conservative society.

The department erased its message soon after comment on the campaign went viral on social media, and the retreat drew new criticism for the agency from some health experts who said such campaigns are needed as coronavirus cases keep growing on the island.

Pretty clear the Health Dept.  must beat off all who oppose these measures.

I think Iowa would not have been covered by that element of the VRA, even before Shelby v. Holder.

No, you haven't. Nor has RCP.

But you can say whatever the fuck you want, Kid.

The 4-way is not worth the paper it isn't written on because not all of the candidates are on the ballots in all 51 jurisdictions. (Not to mention that the votes for those extra parties almost always show lower at the ballot than at the polls.)

It was kind of you to give Arizona to the Dems.

Your power and magnanimity astound, as ever.

More winning!

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/satellite-photos-reportedly-show-construction-iran-nuclear-site-n1245073

Boy, sure is a good thing we showed those Iranians! Otherwise, they might be building stuff at their nuclear site...

Getting a jump on stuff they can do unheeded if Biden wins.

Sit down, fool.

Trump is who let them out of the box.

Larry, the same applies to the problems Steven Miller is having with not being white.

And Jay Sekulow and Jared Kushner.

These motherfuckers see this pandemic as a final solution of sorts.

Poor choice of words, Larry. Reflects the prejudice towards Jews that is found so often in the black community.

It wasn’t a poor choice of words. It was a deliberate statement.

I am considering dropping this site after the election.

Anybody interested in taking on the moderator position if/when I go?

If so, drop me a PM letting me know why you'd want that joy-inducing power. Thanks.

I'd do it just to ban people.

Would the accused get a trial?

No.  But bans wouldn't be permanent.  Redemption is available for those who amend their ways.

24 hours for a first offense.  48 hours for a second offense. Etc.

Dissent is fine.  Trolling isn't.

Hard to define trolling but you know it when you see it.

Trolls will learn where the line is by stepping over it and eventually stop stepping over it.

I think the knee jerk response of some here towards others they disagree with is to immediately label then as trolls. Facts and postings of legitimate sources have been labeled as trolling. That's a slippery slope.

You really should chill.

I don't know if knicks use was intentionally prejudicial, but I agree with Utley that it was a poor choice of words.

IMO "final solution" is a pretty loaded term, with its understanding generally known.

While Trump's fascination and flirting (or heavy dating) with fascism, and that he is admires authoritarian dictators, blurs the distinction between the 30's Nazi's and authoritarianism, I think equating the Nazi's long-term meticulous plan and goal for the extermination of European Jews and other peoples seen as less than human, with the Trump administration's inept response to a virus is wrong as it diminshes the pure evil of Hitler by comapring it to the greed, corruption and stupidity of Trump.

It was a deliberate choice as was the choice the Administration made in its response to the pandemic.

It was a crisis until it became clear WHO was dying in the greatest numbers. Black, brown, elderly and otherwise infirm.
