It looks like Biden just needs AZ, NV, WI and MI and he's at 270.
Correct?

If he loses any of those then he needs PA or GA or NC.
Yes?

Yes?
How many does Biden have now?  Is 224 correct?  AZ is 11, Michigan 16, Nevada 6 and Wisconsin 10 gets him to 267.  Maybe my 224 is wrong?

Where's the good news for the Left?

AZ for Biden
Sen. Hickenlooper in CO
Legal weed in NJ

... and a chance Biden wins.

Another underperform for the Dems.

Maybe they needed a better candidate folks were actually excited about.
Dems usually go for the bland establishment candidate (Mondale, Gore, Kerry, Hillary).  The two exceptions when the Dems ran outsiders who generated enthusiasm-- Clinton and Obama -- were both winning plays.  All the establishment candidates lost.  Sure it's not easy to find political stars, but enthusiasm matters.

Otherwise:
Biden should have talked up the Obama economy more.  And the Bill Clinton economy.  And made the case that the Dems run the economy better.

Tied his much improved handling of CV-19 with opening the economy sooner and better.

Also should have campaigned with Jill more, as she is smart, appealing and looks a lot more youthful than Ol' Joe.

And should have spent more time in MI and WI and PA, the three states that again will determine the election.  Close n NC, GA and FL is nice but still = losing.  Just win those 3 midwest states and it was a wrap.  Same as last go for Hillary.

Another huge 4-year *SIGH*

Best scenario wight now is Biden still pulls through and survives all the Trump legal challenges in PA.  And a 50-50 Senate.  So could still be a DEM sweep by the barest of margins (in what should have been a landslide year).

You ought to wonder what the fuck is wrong with white people.

Exactly.

WTF are those pale soulless MFers thinking--We're lucky that we're not dead yet-YAY Trump!

Even if Biden ekes out a win, and the Supreme Ct somehow lets a Biden win stand, we're fucked as a country.

Ha!   That was weird.   Four hours sleep.   Don't know how I transposed Michigan and PA.   Similar situations, anyway -- both waiting for blue spots to be counted.

I see Biden ahead by 3.5% and almost 1M votes in AZ, with 15% left to count.

Biden ahead 21K in WIS.  0.7% ahead with 1.9% left to count.
So the remaining ballots would have to break better than 2-for-1 for Trump.
And last I heard it was Green Bay holding things up.

NV is tight with Biden ahead by 7500 with 13% uncounted (well over 100K outstanding).  NV usually is close but pretty reliably DEM.  All the casino money this year was on Trump.

Then there's MICH which is razor thin so far and closer than I expected.
Biden with a 0.6% lead of less than 30K with 500K still to go.
Hopefully were talking absentee/mail-in ballots mainly.

Biden's chances in GA and NC are fading.
Meaning if Biden loses any of the first 4 above, he'll need PA where the vote counting is slooow and nearly 1/4 still untallied.

Hopefully Biden runs AZ, NV, WI, MI so that PA and its logistical nightmare and lawsuits doesn't become 2000 Florida.

Never mind.  Maine gets him to 270.

I see Biden holding at 227.

Biden won NE-3 and another 2 EV's in Maine.  Maybe you're missing those 3?

227 + AZ + NV = 244  + 26 from MI & WI = 270.
This was one of the early scenarios out there which stressed that the 1 EV in NEB could be crucial.

Amen to that.

Watching the SC turn itself into a fucking pretzel with specifically crafted Trump victory solutions, ie keep counting here, don't count there, ballots are good, ballots are invalid, etc. and watching the death of our democracy administered by the SC will be excrutiating.

I'm a little unclear on Maine.
Each congressional district is worth 2 EV's?  Is that it?
(something like that House district and one senate-derived EV for each district, I suppose)

Bigotry from Lawrence, again.

Whenever the outcome of an event is uncertain, Lawrence is certain who to blame. Really no different than Trump.

Districts worth one EV,  like Nebraska.   And it gets a second and third because Biden wins the statewide tally.   That leaves just one for Trump.

IOW,  good God I need caffeine,  Maine gives three out of four to whoever gets the most votes,  and then the more rural district gives one to DT.   It never splits two and two, does it?
