New: hours before the president went on TV to declare that ballots received after election day are illegitimate, Republicans were pushing PA voters to turn in absentee ballots by tomorrow's deadline—in apparent violation of state law

https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-warns-of-corrupt-post-election-day-votes-as-his-supporters-push-for-them-in-pa?ref=wrap

Local Republican officials were recruiting volunteers on Thursday to call Pennsylvania voters and urge them to send in their ballots—two full days after Election Day. This plea was emailed out just hours before President Donald Trump went on national television Thursday to declare the inherent illegitimacy of ballots received after Nov. 3.

The request, election lawyers say, appears to flagrantly run afoul of state law. Under Pennsylvania law and a recent state Supreme Court decision, absentee and mail-in ballots are valid as long as they were postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 6. Any Trump supporter who sends in their ballots either Thursday or Friday would not have it postmarked within the acceptable deadline—creating the precise situation that the president himself has deemed fraudulent and corrupt.

The email, which was sent by the group Kenosha For Trump and forwarded to The Daily Beast, said it was marshaling the effort on behalf of Trump Victory, the committee established by the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee to run the field program for the president’s re-election.

Republicans have become a "win by any means" and "at any cost" party.

The thing is, they've already won.  They have the SC and probably will hold the senate.  Why do they still need Trump?

Election facts.

Democrats targeted ten states and spent $88 million to flip those state legislatures and went 0-10.

Republicans are close to flipping 2 of 2.

Of the 98 partisan state  chambers, Republicans will control at least 59 next year.

More important Republicans will control both legislative chambers in 24 of the 36 states in which legislatures draw district lines for U.S. Congress, the state legislature itself, or both.

And continue to put party over country. Good point, Ward.

Red is pointing out a disease running through the countryside with hotspots in a majority of states. It’s rampant, mean, and incurable stupidity causing victims to vote republican against their interests. Red is serving public health by pointing it out.

Besides which, Biden has already vowed to enact major conservative leaning legislation to address every major plank in the Official 2020 republican party platform. In fact he hasn’t rejected even a single plank from that platform. Based on that alone, republicans have nothing to fear or complain about during the Biden presidency.

If Biden had not decided to adopt and defend the anchor baby agenda he would have won in a landslide?

He did win in enough of a landslide to confirm the popularity of his agenda. No rallies, no door knocking, no disinformation, intimidation, or disenfranchisement. No help from abroad.

He got the most votes ever heading toward a 5 million vote margin.

It’s the isolationist segregationist piners for the way back machine who need to figure out how to get their heads out of their asses and drop their dead end philosophy of life.

Biden is 665 votes behind in Georgia. He was behind more than 300,000.

Biden is 18,229 behind in Pennsylvania. He was behind close to 600,000.

There are enough mailed in ballots waiting to be evaluated, but which are overwhelmingly going to Biden.

"Trump campaign files lawsuit in Nevada, claims irregularities including dead voters"

#####

Well there you go.
In the election are all votes anonymous, or do they have to contain names, signatures etc?

Well there you go.

Bambi, do you understand that anybody can make claims?

Suit after suit after suit has been filed by the Trump campaign. Suit after suit after suit has been dismissed, denied, or otherwise set aside by the judges.

They have had two things in common:
1) Trump efforts to prevent ballots from being counted.
2) Claims made without any evidence to support them.

463, now.

In PA, there are still 160,000 absentee ballots to be counted - and it is not just the blue counties in which those are skewing heavily to Biden!

Only four counties in PA have more GOP mail-in ballots than Dem mail-in ballots!

He can have Nevada.

Fuck that. No he can’t.

He’s not going to get Nevada.

He’s toast.

The legal stuff is to keep him feeling like he has a team and a chance and a hope. This shortens the length of time between now and President Biden’s inauguration in which Roid baby imposter trump, realizing he’s taken the one of the worst poundings in American electoral politics and that it’s being said widely and loudly that he is a shitty human being who never had any business being within a country mile of the White House, can throw a tantrum.

To avoid this tantrum and to continue to milk his followers, his staff and hangers on are humoring him with futile acts that gain him nothing but further ill will at the personal cost of a little more dirt on their reputations.

Their reputations are mud and most will be looking for work in a couple of months so more than most they have a lot riding on Joe saving the economy from their myriad fuck ups.
