Then there's this bit of Russia-friendly commentary from the man supposedly president of the US:

Trump downplays Russian-linked cyberattack on U.S.

Quote
President Trump responded to the massive cyberattack on U.S. government departments and agencies and private companies on Twitter Saturday, claiming the "Fake News Media" is exaggerating the extent of the hack.

Separately, I think news agencies have been hacked.

This is a headline I have seen from a bunch of different sources:
Kushner accused over ‘shell campaign group’, as Pentagon stops Biden briefings

But not a single one of them has Kushner's name on the rest of the page or the phrase "shell campaign group."

Phuch Philadelphia Police...

”Hicks was exonerated after a review of evidence that was available nearly two decades ago, which reportedly supported his account of what happened that day: that the cops shot him in the back as he was reaching into his pocket to call 911 to help the woman who was assaulted — rather than pulling out a gun and lunging toward the cops, as Philadelphia police officers Marvin Vinson and Dennis Zungulo claimed. The cops also alleged at the time that they found Hicks standing over the unnamed victim with his pants down, according to a report at the time by the South Philly Review.”

Communism is very dangerous.
Social capitalism is not.
Welfare payments and free healthcare for the poor/unemployed/starving/homeless are not only affordable in Western society, but are/should be a right.

California has reached this point: California activated its "mass fatality" program as coronavirus cases and deaths continue to rise, leading to the state purchasing thousands of extra body bags.

Gov. Gavin Newsom said during a news conference Tuesday that he was activating the program in response to "sobering" Covid-19 data.

Isn't this the same guy who "downplayed" covid-19?

How did that work out ?

What the fuck do the Russians have on their WH puppet?

Or does Trump just hate America?

And finally, here's the story:
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/12/jared-kushner-campaign-shell-company

Kushner created a company for the Trump reelection committee to pour money into, allowing them to operate without the FEC getting any factual reports - and they took in about half of the $1.26 billion from the money raised for the reelection.

President of the group? Lara Trump, the would-be senatorial candidate from North Carolina. This ought to put a halt to that, but somehow I doubt it will.

VP of the group?! Mike Pence's son.

Yeah, but let's keep talking about Hunter Biden.

midnight madness in the WH from NYT's Maggie Haberman

https://twitter.com/maggieNYT/status/1340349856574038017

SCOOP - Sidney Powell was in Oval Office last night as POTUS discussed making her special counsel for election fraud.

Among those pushing back on the idea was Pat Cipollone, Meadows and even Giuliani. But Giuliani separately pushed DHS this week to seize control of voting machines to examine them for possible fraud. DHS said it has no authority to do that. https://nytimes.com/2020/12/19/us/politics/trump-discussed-naming-campaign-lawyer-as-special-counsel-on-election-fraud.html

During the meeting, the president asked about Flynn’s suggestion of deploying the military, those briefed said. That was also shot down.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/19/us/politics/trump-discussed-naming-campaign-lawyer-as-special-counsel-on-election-fraud.html

President Trump on Friday discussed making Sidney Powell, who as a lawyer for his campaign team unleashed a series of conspiracy theories about a Venezuelan plot to rig voting machines in the United States, a special counsel investigating voter fraud, according to two people briefed on the discussion.

Trump's insane.

When the fuck do his cowardly syncophant fascist enablers in Congress start getting a little nervous?

White Christmas for anyone here?

Speaking of ‘White Christmas ‘

“Every time you listen to Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas,” about five people have died of the virus between the beginning and the end of the song.”

There is a new strain of COVID-19 in the UK, it seems. It is more contagious than the others or at least spreads faster (which seems to me to be the same thing...)

Looks like it was a 30% reduction, not 20% - from 60,000 doses to 42,000 doses.

I'm not sure what that does to the two step vaccine process, but it leaves one at least 18,000 short of expectations.
