Death by Santa:https://www.cbsnews.com/news/26-belgian-retirees-die-after-visit-by-volunteer-santa-claus-who-tested-positive-for-covid/

Killed them with kindness.

Piss poor management

Done in US often - with blame being sent to the top

Nobody here has blamed Trump for sending out Santas with COVID-19.

Just abdication of leadership and deliberate lying to the public.

Over 160,000 jobs were created from tourism in Orange County, California, before the corona crisis.

A lot of money was spent by Anaheim and by Orange County to attract tourists to come here and spend money on vacation. The City of Anaheim had a marketing firm which they gave millions of dollars to in order to attract tourists to Anaheim. It is all on hold right now because of the corona crisis, and Disneyland is still closed, etc, our whole economy is on hold right now.

But, Disney is doing well with "The Mandalorian" and Disney is making a lot of money from home entertainment. So, Disney will survive. We will open up very strong when we re-open, in the Spring after everyone is vaccinated. We should be able to open by April, with Disneyland, and sporting events, and concerts, everything, if we can get everyone vaccinated.

And the weather in Anaheim is fantastic, Anaheim has great weather.

Salute,

Tony V.

But it should not have been, Kid. As with the PPE, it should always have been a federal plan. The states have limited budgets, limited staffing, limited expertise... they can't just print money the way the feds can and do.

From the beginning folks waited for Trump to take over like a dictator - so they could kill him for it

This is the UNITED STATES, a UNION.  Each has its own powers - and its own responsibilities - as you agreed when you thought Trump would become dictatorial - and were told to sod off on the matter.

As for the money -

a)  Pelosi held it up
b)  its not really the problem

If you think (b) is incorrect, maybe a "we'd be doing this if we just had that" statement from any state would help.  Just making up a hypothetical is grand - a hit in your world.  But weak in ours.

Cuomo transferred blame to the feds after he sent the COVID cases back to nursing homes.

Dictatorial has nothing to do with it.

Get your head out of your ass.

Okay, that is never going to happen - but the coordination was the federal government's job and nothing you have posted has ever contradicted that, except your opinion.

Speaking of weak claims.

Trump is like Tom Brady

In so far as it’s one of life’s purest joys to watch him get the snot knocked out of him as he has a very bad day, trump is just like Brady.

Trump’s ability to deliver only 15% of his most recent important promise shouldn’t surprise you, Kid. It’s on par with his failures to create, wealth, jobs, security, distribute PPE, build a wall, get tough on China, Iran, North Korea, NATO, or the EU.

We’ve known since Stormy did the talk show rounds to expect trump to over promise and underperform. On that score particularly he never lets anyone down.

By the way...

current "failures", as usual, are way overblown.  Press leading you by the nose, making it look bad so that Biden appears the hero when the Trump plan continues to succeed

Current trumpy failures are widely understated and underreported. The shitheels fuck things up so badly it’s nearly impossible to keep track.

Every single day trump and his minions produce new diapers full of the impossibly bad.

It’s why republican shitcanning continues apace.

The bill will come due. Neither the crime family nor its supine subservient political party will bear up well under the weight.

Why would they be under reported?

Because things are much worse than they seem in far to many places, with a large share of responsibility falling on trump and his cronies.

Uh, both the general in charge and Moncef Slaoui, co-lead of Operation Warp Speed, have apologized for delays, misinformation and poor distribution of the vaccine.

No doubt the lefty media tricked them into doing so.

Leaving it up to 50 states each to come up with distribution plans and funding is a recipe for disorganization and inefficiency.  In national emergencies, the Federal gov't normally leads.  What's the purpose of the HHS, CDC, WHO -- to shrug and get out of the way?  The Feds have expertise and resources and should develop a coordinated plan complete with guidelines and best practices, which the states can use as a model and tweak to local contingencies as needed.  The two levels of govt working together in concert.  It's one country and that's the standard approach which has been effectively deployed in the past.  The virus doesn't actually stop at state or national borders.

The abdication of the Trump Admin to provide any coordinated national strategy will almost certainly go down as one of the biggest failures of the failed CV response.  From PPE, to Testing, through to Vaccine Distribution, the Trump Admin has failed to provide leadership, planning, coordination ensuring that the situation was mishandled and problems exacerbated.

If I were a Black male in America, no way I'd ever go out in public on the streets alone...especially jogging, walking...I'd buy a treadmill and exercise at home.
If for some reason I absolutely had to walk to a store...I would wear yellow sneakers, bright purple long pants, a bright yellow shirt, a red vest, and a yellow and purple polkadot hat.

If for some reason I were stopped by the cops saying..."there has been a robbery nearby and you fit the description of the suspect"...I would say
"Surely you jest, officer".
