By the way...

current "failures", as usual, are way overblown.  Press leading you by the nose, making it look bad so that Biden appears the hero when the Trump plan continues to succeed

What part of the White House Vaccine Czar saying they have done a poor job are you struggling with, Kid?

What part of "We promised 20,000,000 and delivered 12,400,000" do you think the media is overblowing?

What part of "20,000,000 million vaccinated by the end of the year" vs. under 3,000,000 vaccinated are you blaming in the press?!

White House coronavirus testing czar: 'We need to be doing a better job' with Covid-19 vaccine rollout

Oh, and about money?!
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/lack-of-state-local-funding-hampering-vaccine-roll-out-surgeon-general-says

Surgeon general blames COVID-19 vaccination delays on state, local funding shortages

He knows the states are underfunded, but the feds did nothing to address it. He used to be a state health leader...

Quote
Governors in several states, however, have complained that federal funding is lacking, creating a widening gap between the number of vaccines on hand and the number of people who are receiving them.

But regardless, the feds now say 20,000,000 doses will have been delivered by the end of next week. And also, By the end of June, any American who wants a vaccine should be able to get one, the White House's coronavirus czar said during an appearance on "Fox News.'

Why should anybody believe these promises, Kid?!

Remember "anybody who wants testing can have it?"

Because things are much worse than they seem in far to many places, with a large share of responsibility falling on trump and his cronies.

And the press in the dark?

Here's a question:  is 50 states too many?   Germany,  also a federal republic,  has 16.  And seems to run better.   Does fewer states help?   What would it be like if we had states like New England and North Plains and Appalachia and MidAtlantic,  each combining several existing states into a geographically coherent regional unit?

Won't be replying to posts which circle back endlessly on old debate points here.   Tempting as that can be.   Looking forward to fresh topics and the chance to expand knowledge on how governments operate,  and the political philosophies on which they rest.

And the press in the dark?

The press not having the bandwidth and various republican elements of government burying as much related data as they can get away with.

For example few people remember we were well into a recession when Covid hit. It was only beginning to be reported out at the time.

If it gets reactionary authoritarians and religious charlatans the natural 30% of the Senate seats in line with their level of popular support instead of the roughly 50% of seats they hold now, I’m all for it.

Make one state the swamps and one state the big empty and you have five or six states left for everything else.

Instead of slamming Brexit, French President Macron should take a look at his own country...a long hard look, and ponder deeply why it's in such a mess.

Another day, another stupid GOP lawsuit tossed.

They're running out of time and out of courts.
