Very few portapotties reportedly placed on the Mall for the demonstration, so people are relieving themselves in bushes or waiting in hour long lines at the WA monument VC.   People pissed.

Playlist at rally included...

Brain Damage
In the Air Tonight
Macho Man
Beat It
Funeral For a Friend
Goodbye Yellow Brick Rd

Ya can't make this stuff up.

Report says DoD has declined to deploy the National Guard that DC requested.

That's pretty revolting.

Guns drawn at Capitol building...as protesters smash their way into the building.
Protesters are on the floor of the senate...debate cancelled, building evacuated.
Scores of protesters are chasing security/cops down the corridors.
Ridiculous.
When it's all over, bambu-wisdom is available for consultation re future security.

Now that the great orange is leaving It would have been good to see some opposition to an expected liberal elite steamroll with agendas like open borders, free everything, a boycott of Israel, and putting veterans on the back burner, etc. Uncle Joe should concentrate on fighting the pandemic and a restore to normalcy.

Their policies were quite clear.
The voters could not have been under any illusion of what voting for them meant.
The American people elected them under the same system they elected Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump.
Now they have a mandate to implement their policies.

The vote was more against the egregious behavior of the Donald, rather than all of his policies. There was a large amount of vote splitting.

I don't think 17,000 out of 4,400,000 (less than 0.4%) is "a large amount" of vote splitting. That's the minimum there could have been, but there is no evidence that a ton more voters did so.

Republicans won in the house but lost the presidential vote by a large margin. Clearly vote splitting?

It’s time to take trump back to that White House balcony and toss him off.

Luee, it’s called gerrymandering. Republicans know they are scum so the cheat each and every way they can.

Republicans are cancer which is why I’m suggesting radiation treatment for mega churches, gun shows, monster truck rallies, golf tournaments, CFB booster clubs, and the like.

It will do the nation good that it has finally given California three votes in the Senate. It may help some parts of the country crawl a little bit further out of the dark ages.

The Democratic congressional candidates got 4.5 million more votes than the GOP congressional candidates did.

But I was discussing YESTERDAY'S vote, Luee.

Woman shot in the chest outside Capitol building...critical condition.
...reportedly.
If only she'd stayed home.

Why do you always blame the victim.

If only the President told folks to stand down.

I assume the Senate and House will resume the debate, but with the smell of tear gas and sedition still in the air,

how the the arguments of the Trump supporters will be received.

This is so shameful.

Yup.

Trump proves once again that Putin is still operating the levers of power within the White House since trump was last able to draw a sparse crowd to the capital.

Time to finally ramp up a republicans & Russia investigation.

Protesters have taken over the Speakers chair in the senate and taken selfies.

They have "reclaimed Congress after the election was stolen".
No they haven't...talk about misguided.

The woman was shot inside the building not outside...reportedly.
