A wall is good for the economy, good for security, and could be a beautiful memorable piece of architecture? The Statue of Liberty, The Golden Gate and now the Southern Border Wall.

You mention the Wall and Statue of Liberty in the same sentence?

LOL.   I can never be sure Luee isn't  some sort of web performance art.

“I think it would be really helpful to have a sense of how CBP allocates the resources of what it does have, because it’s billions of dollars, and they’re constantly saying they don’t have resources. We’re seeing this now with the asylum-seekers at the port of entry, where the agency is saying it’s at max capacity,” Ebadolahi told The Intercept....

Interesting that the section on electronic surveillance was completely redacted.

Courts defeat any “emergency” wall move for the following reasons

There is no emergency

A Wall, which takes years to design, approve, and build, is not an emergency response to anything.

Trump has already publicly declared that is pivot to declaring an emergency is that Negotiating with congressional leaders makes him frightened, ashamed, and confused.

Republicans are hoping that before the ink on the injunction is dry, they can get his small sweaty paw on a Sharpie and reopen government.

Creating American Carnage is the GOP style of governance under Individual 1.

Saw something about several border towns,  USA side,  are having their lowest crime rates in 30 years.   Doesn't fit that "emergency" narrative too well.

...taking advantage of the shutdown.

Liberty is being freed from having people just waltzing into your country because they feel like it...over open/porous borders because your fellow citizens want cheap labor.

And the fact that every congressperson representing districts along the Southern border (across the political spectrum) are against the wall would disqualify it as a valid response to that emergency, even if there was.

Border communities are safer, on average, than elsewhere in the country.  And only more so now.  There is no emergency, and a large majority of Americans are against declaring one to build the wall.

...and taking funding away from victims of natural disasters in Florida, California and Puerto Rico in order to pay for this idiocy?  Truly, Trump is despicable.

Australia...an island continent with no land borders [thank Heaven]...built a wall to stop the people-smuggling trade, asylum-seekers/refugees/economic immigrants...call them what you will, from arriving on its shores uninvited.
First a trickle, then a flood. like a taxi service.

Australia built a wall...of warships, and offshore processing centres with Australia off the table as a resettlement destination.
No more people-smuggling boats arriving...until the May 2019 federal election when the Leftists are on track to win.
Last time they said "racist and too harsh" and the floodgates opened again.

Ha.  Not to mention, a bridge is pretty much the exact opposite of a wall.

I wouldn't say that any of the concrete prototypes solicited by Trump would represent memorable pieces of architecture.  Just the opposite; to The Golden Gate like a Wal-Mart big box store is to the Colosseum.

There is something kind of beautiful in the corten steel slats that Trump supposedly now favors (which we know can be breached with a saw, but anyway...) In a purely photogenic way, their alien scale and undulating form as they lower and raise along the hilly topography is impressive.  No escaping the symbolism there, though.  An unwelcome mat on our southern border.  Which for the xenophobes among us, as much as they pay lip service to the drug trade, is the very point.

Said large majority of Americans seem to love open borders, the cheap labor they provide, ...and the overrunning of schools, hospitals, takeover of existing communities [CA a perfect example] that occurs as a result.
Said large majority of Americans hate Trump's proposed travel and immigration bans from certain Muslim countries that are reportedly hotbeds of terrorism.
Why is a mystery to bambu--ilk.
